Installed CM11 - Android 4.4 this morning.

A couple of Apps are not yet compatible but I've had no problems at all.

I haven't updated yet. The lack of compatibility concerns me. What apps of yours don't work?
 
nice, ill give it a week or so before i flash to kit kat, let allllll the bugs get smoothed out :)
 
Cm11 temasek v1 working well. No issues so far. KitKat is a must for the s3 imo.

Edit. Nasty stuttering on audio/music when unlocking screen

Front facing camera doesnt work, issues with emoticons on keyboard. Not flashing till the bugs sort itself out. Im using the simple play service update to get the 4.4 features.
 
So what are the benefits of KitKat? The last CM 10.2 snapshot is rock solid, so I'm not in a hurry to change.
 
Front facing camera works for me. Haven't fully tested though. CM11 just feels slicker, and more stable.

Never a bad option to wait for version 10. But imo the bug level in custom ROMs doesn't get significantly better than temasek v1. Reason is this is still barebones, and the features they add start to cause issues. Anyway, you can always restore a cwm backup

Thanks, currently running Original 4.3 with the 4.4 services. 4.3 is laggy as all hell, so wanted to go back to a rooted version of phone :). Thanks

Did you use the PA OFFICIAL 4.4 GAPPS or the Gapps for Android 4.4 - 1101? Been a while since of rooted my phone, going to have to find the guides again haha.

Does that affect the 10.2 CM versions?

With CWM backups- is that the stuff that appears in the '0' folder? And appears via 'emulated storage'? I just deleted all that ****, as there was too much space being used there and the folders were duplicated in SD/Android/Data.

Probably should have confirmed what all that was before deleting :o
 
I doubt it would affect cm users.. Cm developers actually do good work :p I was really dreading getting a s3 again due the fact I wanted stock android but damn. Using cm I couldn't be happier. Got the sense theme over it so nice subtle changes and the phone is insanely fast and stable.
 
Hi everyone, so i installed CM10.2 on my S3 but need to go back to stock. I made a backup of stock ROM in CWrecovery. Can i just restore the backup and clean cache ? or do i need to download stock rom and flash that like i did with CM10.2 ?
