Did you not accidentally wipe everything? Odin shouldn't have wiped it as far as I know. I just plugged my phone in straight using recovery mode. Used pda attached my tar file and clicked start. 5 minutes later and it was done no loss of any data
Sounds like you might have done a factory install or something similar. Instead of a software install which doesn't touch data. I just used the one md5 file in the pda section
It wiped my phone >.< Just installed with Odin as per the instructions.
Quite bummed to be honest, lost some game saves.
Sorry to hear that really sorry. I installed mine with odin 3.09 and no wipe happened. My apps even updated themselves via play store.

Most of the guides on Odin are very clear on which files to flash. Next time look at the first links on Google. If you didn't follow a guide with Odin I think you're lucky you didn't cause more damage then just losing game saves
I'm probably very slow as I don't get to this section often :/ but I see Samsung have officially released Android 4.3 now.
Do I need to wait for Vodacom to approve this before installing it?
Ok guys. Need some detailed instructions - please. I would like to sell my phone. So was thinking of installing 4.3 (the UK version).
I had gotten detailed instructions on here as to how to install a custom rom (CyanogenMod 10.2). I'm running that currently.
So how do I go about getting from the custom rom back to stock 4.3?
Thanks a mil!

Does it make a difference using Kies or Odin?
Just different ways of doing the same thing?
