Anybody using the CPU Profiles on ROM Toolbox?
I've set up 3 profiles now with the hope of getting even better battery life.
Set up a Screen Off, Screen On and Charging Profile. Limiting CPU power when the screen is off and boosting it again(not completely) when the screen is on or charging.
Just taking a stab in the dark here. Not really sure if I did it correctly. Will let you know of the results.
EDIT: Going to try and add another profile for when gaming or heavy use. So that it runs at full speeds.

I dropped the stupid thing again this morning - off the edge of a desk - 900mm high, f'ing screen cracked again!
I'm over this cr@p quality phone. What an absolute load of cr@p. One drop, thing is fubar again. Insurance is going to be charmed.

Don't blame the phone for you being clumsy. Maybe the S3 is not for you. I have a Nokia which might suit you better at home, let me know if you want to swop.
There's no doubt the S3 is lacking in this department and the only part Samsung got it wrong with this device. It should be able to withstand plenty more than one drop at 600mm and then another one at 900mm :wtf:

The S3 performs quite well in drop tests. What floor did it fall on? You've just got to be careful.

Not a scratch. It landed on its back tho so I could have been lucky..

I've had my phone for about 8 months now and I haven't dropped it once. I know that accidents do happen but blaming the phone for breaking when you keep dropping it is a bit daft. It is a piece of sensitive electronic equipment and needs to be handled that way.
Tiled floor, both times.
First time it dropped it was in an official Samsung cover. Hated the feel of the phone in a cover and after discovering that a cover wouldn't prevent a screen smash, didn't use one since then. Just bad luck I guess.
I hadn't dropped my phone since August 2012 at all up until these two occurrences - they just happen to be 1 month apart. Sure, all the smart phones are pieces of sensitive electronic equipment, some are made better than others I have realised. They're not meant to break this easily, not after a single drop, both less than 1m off the ground. That is ridiculous, no matter which way you look at it.

The S4 comes with Gorilla Glass 3, which hopefully will be more robust than Gorilla Glass 2, which is on the S3.
My S2 came with the original Gorilla Glass, and has survived a drop on a tar road & a few others.
Looks still just as good as new.

Nope, this phone is flimsy as fukc. It's a telephone, which you carry with you and use regularly, not a delicate piece of equipment sitting on a shelf or in a drawer. Due to the nature of the device, it should be able to withstand some degree of negligent abuse, eg. dropping it, or bumping it. This piece of **** will crack it's screen even with a cover on. I've dropped my HTC Desire many times, even kicked it by accident as it landed on my foot, never broke once.

The s3 build quality is crap beyond what you'd expect for a premium smartphone. Inexcusable from Samsung, eventually consumers will move on.
Dropped it once from knee height. Cracked in the corner.

Well there you go. Not many smartphones wouldn't be devastated by a metre high fall onto tiles.
I got my S3 the month it launched. Being careful is all it took for me to not have any issues. The phone looks good, has responsive keys, a good screen, doesn't contort or creak etc. Build quality seems satisfactory to me. I have never used a cover on it.
Consumers won't move on, because on aggregate the S3 and S4 obliterate the competition. Sales figures speak for themselves, and they will continue doing so after the S4 has launched.

My S1 survived numerous drops onto wood, tiles and concrete over the 3 years I've had it.
Has a mark on one corner from the concrete and some minor scratching. Never been in a case or had a screen protector.
Bought a Nexus 4 recently. Also seems to be a delicate one so for the first time I'm using a case and screen protector.
