Samsung Galaxy S3

So a couple questions on the S3:

1. Where is polaris office? Cant find it under more services
2. How do i activate my 50Gb storage on drop box? I had an existing drop box account.

This is how I did it. I logged on to Dropbox with the browser on my phone (desktop version) and clicked on "Getting Started" and follow the instructions.

1. It was preinstalled on my phone. Download kingsoftoffice. Its full and free.

2. I set it up when i started the phone. Logged into my account and the 50gb was added to my account. The dropbox app should be preinstalled, check for it under settings>accounts and sync.
 
Okay managed to sort out drop box - had to jump through some hurdles though, you don't get the 50Gb just like that, you had to do the tour, install it on your laptop, invite other people etc.

Regarding Polaris - i got my phone from Vodacom - nothing installed except the viewer.

Ok. I was an existing user.

Didn't know we could get the editor, also just the viewer.
 
Does anyone know of any other local online shop besides Expansys that sells the flip case, they are too expensive for my liking.

My local Vodashop does not have stock yet, they seem to be clueless as to when stock will arrive. I don't even bother trying the local Mtn franchise...

If you try open up any other document on the phone it will open up Polaris Viewer, which then brings a pop up which states you cna download Polaris Office from Samsung More Services and install it.

The vodacom shop in Nicolway had when I went last week. The owner said he also ordered lots more.

Got mine at Cellucity when I bought my S3. They discounted it to R220.

Like I said I had kingsoft office set as default. But I'll try polaris
 
Just saw a friend's S3 today. Lovely phone! I honestly don't understand those that hate the shape. In the pictures, it looks odd. In your hand- awesome! :)

Used it for nearly a week now, one great phone. Enjoyed the Note immensely but since last week it's gathering dust in the drawer.
 
I'm getting FC on maps when the screen goes off.

If someone wants to try and re-create the problem, start maps, have the traffic layer activated, switch off screen for a few minutes, switch on screen, try to move map, fc, soft restart (i.e. all processes are killed).

I looked at the logcat log. It says gpsd --> Sensors.SM:Can't write to closed pipe
 
Anyone know if CellC allows you to "Build your own contract" with the S3 on a "straight up 100"? The CellC site is pretty limited, might need to go the a shop for more info.
 
I just bought a Battery Kit for my S3. It consist of a Battery and a Battery Charger with a nice stand for your S3. Only paid R459 for it.

I'm sure I will be able to make a full day on one charge if I try really hard but who wants to use battery saving mode so save battery if you can rather use your phone to it's full extent?

Where did you get this from?

With normal usages I'm getting about 2 days out of my S3 - which is not bad at all.
