For scaring us like that. My phone had to have the motherboard replaced with the same symptoms! But no AC could help...

looool, I seriously thought it could be the mobo after reading online but what struck me as weird is that it wouldn't charge off USB. I also HAD to use the original Samsung adapter. What was also a bit strange is that the phone had 36% battery when I started the backup, I left it for about 30 mins and it died.

Maybe a low power usb port? I noticed this phone needs quite a powerful usb port to charge. My mac book pro charges it perfectly though. From dead to a small green bar in about 10-15 min.
 
What's the best way to backup your data and apps when doing a factory reset?
Titanium backup?
I'm using stock ICS

Yeah that was my thinking as well. Don't think it gets enough juice from a PC USB port when its completely dead.

Well on Stock ICS you can't use Titanium backup, has to be rooted. But you can use Keis to do the backup, thats what I use.
 
if you rooted u can use titanium backup
if not. i think mybackup pro works without root
 
Anyone have an issue with ad blockers on mobile data? The ad blockers work when im connected to WIFI at home but not when using HSDPA or 3G. Im on CellC
 
for those concerned about their flash count use Mobile Odin

As it does not increase the flash counter or change status to unofficial

Although you have to be rooted to use it :erm:

So I would suggest root your phone first then use Triangle Away

Then you can flash away using Mobile Odin without having to worry about your flash count or status changing.

P.S - you can get Triangle Away for free from xda forums
