Usually Vodacom is faster with the updates. I'm surprised they took this long
 
Yes, it's available directly from the phone update now. Strangely there is no CRAP anywhere to be seen, as someone else mentioned, if CRAP appears in the baseline version, it's not the CRAP version though. But this one doesn't even have CRAP as baseline either. Just something interesting.

Yes, I just updated. I went and cleared my cache partition from the recovery menu afterwords though. No idea if it's really necessary, just saw many people factory resetting their phones after the update, but clearing the cache is the lesser step to take if you don't want to factory reset.

So far all seems fine.
 
I have been running the CRC7 Slovakian version for a while now, and it's perfectly stable.
I have just finished flashing the XFV version to get VoLTE back.

Please check if your Playstore is certified. I flashed crb7 and my Playstore is still uncertified.
All the guys who flashed Vodacom also, please would you check. I flashed Vodacom after but it remain uncertified, so I just went back to UK firmware. This was before Oreo was released here.

When this happened to me, it was because the OEM in Developers settings was unlocked.
I locked OEM and my status in Playstore changed to certified.
Just give it time, a day or so maybe to change, can't remember, but it was my cause of showing uncertified.

Thanks. I did this earlier and expected an immediate change. Will wait a day or two.
 
Just a quick question

So I dropped my s8+ face down and it has a crack on the screen which is not that bad but its insured so I logged a claim and a company by the name of Platinum Repairs contacted me to arrangement pick up of the device, anyone had any experiences with them

I was also puzzled for a week or so. Then realized if OEM is unlocked (Bootloader unlocked, thus you can gain root... etc)
it's a security risk and reason Google labels it uncertified. Once OEM is locked
you cannot flash unofficial Firmware, root etc.

I selected it because I flash sammobile firmware through Odin. Does it need to be on or off for Odin? I just selected it incase and worried it might fail half way through. All official firmware though that I flash.

I see 7 reviews on Google for them. Mostly positive.

Off,
as you flashing Official Firmware.
So you can flash Official Firmware anytime. If OEM shows or not.
Only when flashing custom Rom, rooting TRwp etc etc, you switch OEM on.
You must also remember that if you
did a hard reset /factory reset, your OEM disappears for 7 days (Samsung security
feature)
Only then will Google Play recognize your device as Certified.

Another point,
i noticed is even when you lock OEM
your Bootloader might show unlock.
After a day or three ? it might also then show lock.
