SARS E-Filing 2019/20

Hi all

I am trying to file returns for a friend's company (company never traded before - need to file zero returns and get TCC).

I have added the organisation on her e-filing profile. She is a director of the organisation.

I am unable to register for a tax type though - I don't have a tax reference number for the organisation. From what I remember you need to activate a registered representative first? then request Notice of Registration?

When I try to add her as a registered representative I get the error :


"Our records indicate that no active registration exists for the Legal Entity on eFiling.
To use this functionality, you must successfully register one or more of the legal entity tax references against your profile.
Alternatively, please visit your nearest SARS branch for assistance."


I added the organisation yesterday

Try the call center, they assisted me with a similar issue a few days ago
 
anyone else having issues finding the medical aid contributions section? I think I had the same problem last year.

I did my return on Sunday, got selected for verification. Uploaded travel log and an ITSA was sent to me today. Does this mean the verification is complete?
Did you receive your refund yet?
 
I got my completion letter yesterday, but no indication on when electronic transfer will be made when i pulled fresh SOA couple of minutes ago, so I am unsure when payment will be made. Iam glad as I usually wait for the whole 21 days for verification, this time it was quicker!
Hey so did you SOA eventually show the refund date?
 
Did my efiling on Monday evening, money paid into my account this morning need to go shopping asap.

You must ensure that you tick "yes" in the wizard section to open the medical aid section. If you were a member of an an accredited medical aid then SARS should have received a certificate and the section will be pre-populated.
 
Looks like SARS are going to take the full 21 days to audit me :(
Cries into scrambled eggs.

So over the inconsistency. The one member here says he handed in 4 different submissions and his was done in a week. I literally had 1 document with one little payment to a retirement annuity, but nothing done.

Nah looks odd; I mean I'm on my wife's medical aid and I know (or at least I'm pretty sure) I had to tick the box saying I didn't contribute to medical aid things. I'll see what wifey's says.

Yeah so I checked on hers - under the IRP5 question it asks about medical aid contributions and it's defaulted to Y, then later on it has the counts and months stuff populated.

Not sure why it is not showing on your screen.
It has been pre populated since at least 2019.

What happens when you select Yes for "Did you receive income that is reflected on an IRP5 or IT3(a)? ;)

yeah but I received no income on an IRP5 or IT3(a), the question for medical deductions existed without having to tick that box
 
yes but I still have to tick or complete some sort of box before submitting my return

yes, but I did not receive an income reflected on those codes
