SARS eFiling 2022/2023

My wife's return this year calculation shows she's getting back 1/24th of what she got last year, and all that's changed on her side is she drove less for work about 3000km less.
Anyone else have such drastic changes for no apparent reason?
 
Online booking doesn't work. Either need to find a pop-up branch or wait for them to call you back.
 
Did mine Sat morning, currently showing elec refund for tomorrow. Hope they don't change their mind like previous years.... Will be the first time in a couple of years I won't get verified

I'm not an expert, but I read that as the shares should be combined into just one disposal. So the 20 shares and then 30 shares should be captured as just one transaction with the combined profit or loss being declared?

And seemingly crypto need to be multiple disposals. Thus 20 shares, then 30 shares, then crypto profit and finally crypto loss would equal 3 disposal (1x shares and 2x crypto).

But again, this is not authoritative advise based on experience or expertise, but my interpretation.

Compare the 2 ITA34;s. You will pickup quickly where the difference in rebate is.
 
I've completed my return. Exact same as last year, except my rental property is a loss of R2,800 as opposed to a profit last year and I moved a preservation fund last year that isn't on this year's return. I haven't been verified / audited in the last 3 years, but I generally submit late in the returns period.

Conspiracy theorist in me wonders if early submitters are more likely to get verified / audited as those work queues are empty at the moment. Wonder if I should pull the trigger and submit or delay it until there are a bunch of other people being verified audited. :unsure::ROFL::ROFL::cool:

Getting the RA refund this month would be nice though.
 
So, they now requested additional supporting docs.. my most recent 3 payslips. First time in 15 years they ask for payslips. Anyone else got asked for payslips before?

They requested that specifically? Weird.

Usually your employer will send IRP5 info automatically for pre-population on the return.

Very weird. IRP5 is pre populated, and all seems good. But still.
 
If my money is in today, I know hell just froze over. So I'm slightly positive
 
Filed yesterday and also got asked for all supporting documentation. Letter received stating that it will take aprox 21 days to review. So we wait.
