SARS eFiling 2022/2023

I had the same issue when filing season just opened. I basically just re-declared my existing banking details on the ITR12. There's steps on how to do it early in the thread.
 
Seems the call center can not assist. Had to book and only got a date for 30 September which is kak but hey
 
Received notification this morning that return was finalised with no changes.. happy days!

7th year in a row that I am being audited. Tax return has no real complications but I do receive a medical credit for a disabled family member that I care for. SARS noted that the turnaround time should be +-30-days but my experience has taught me otherwise.

Had to approach the Tax Ombud last year to have my funds released after 5-months
 
Hmmm my current return is on hold because I have an outstanding return from 2019. The thing is It's not allowing me to submit this 2019 return...

100% audit - they request a whole host of additional documentation each and every single year including doctors reports, for a GENETIC condition mind you. Really is annoying but I wouldn't mind it if they just kept to their own timeframes: 30-day turnaround is what is mentioned.

Not sure if you can help.. all finalized without changes but SOA does not give me a date for electronic refund. it only states original assesment with a negative amount.

IF you subract your business from the total it will give you personal trips
 
My stuff was verified and not changed....then received a letter to submit all the same docs again. emailed Ombudsman and they accepted my case as once again they have a systematic error!!!!

That is a verification. An audit is a completely different beast. You will know if you're being properly audited because you will need to get a tax lawyer involved.

When we sold our house last year, someone at the deeds office had some finger trouble and added an extra zero to the selling/purchase price, which we had corrected as soon as the conveyancers sent us the deeds office printout. SARS has queried why I claimed I don't owe any CGT on the sale of the property and asked for supporting documents, so now they will be bombarded with emails, sales agreements, deed office printouts, municipality rates bills, etc.

A friend of mine sold a house in Harties and he could barely get what he had paid for it a few years before due to all the problems with the dam. Needless to say the municipal valuation of the house was also way higher than the selling price he sold it for. He also had endless problems with SARS because they thought something dodgy was going on.

I'm in the same boat here. I uploaded everything they asked for a got a notification that they need up to 10 days to verify. 10 days come and go and I get another notification that it can take up to 10 days. Eish. Just gotta be patient I guess.

Very silly.
 
Sars this year is pretty messy. My wife's SARS went from they owe her R20 000. To she owe them R14 000. I then made a dispute. The result, she got a refund of R10 000 (zero communication, no ITA34 updates, or new data on SOA). My ohhhh my. I assume that case is then done (lol)
 
Can anyone tell me why my SOA does not show Electrocnic Refund date yet even though they have completed the Verification without changes on the 24th July?
