Screamer ADSL

is it just your torrents that are affected? i get close to 30+ kbps on regular http/ftp downloads i scheme the screamers are throttling torrent downloads??

thats why i recommended that screamer does a bolt on service for Torrent to HTTP make all of us happpppiii

For the millionth time, it is lack of Public IPs that is buggering up the torrents not throttling...
 
Hi Guys

We have finally completed the major portion of our ADSL upgrade and you should all now be getting full speeds apart from one or 2 torrent sites affected by public IP's.
If everything is stable for the next few days we will start activating clients in the, now substantial, waiting list.

If you are not getting full speeds (Telkom connection excepted) please send me an urgent PM.
 
Well Howzit I have been getting bad speeds since the beginning of the month non-stop. Web browsing is as fast a 56k line...:sick: actually I think that I actually might get better speeds off a 56k line at the moment... I am rather annoyed since I am getting full speed on my telkom account and you want to take on more clients?? :wtf:

Even opening speedtest.net is a 2 minute exercise or it times out....

I am now going to blow up

Speeds - 10kb MAX still... after i've been told i will get a phonecall. td\oday i get a phishing email from screamer/ Well outlook says so... [email protected] bla bla ticket number... www.172.summinsummin.....

wtf, who gives you a site .172?!?! Thats not professional at all. I am seriously thinking of cancelling, DigiChilli at least lets you know wtf is going on and are throttling torrents @ 20kb which is better than what i am currently getting.

Someone PLEASE tell me if screamer issues ticket numbers ... coz i got a mail from 'none' as well today, first time ever... no subject, no reply addy etc

Digichilli is alot better thanthis crap i am experiencing now and they seem to be a 'bigger' company than screamer is

Same here bud, ad trust me, when they take on new client's, it's never pretty... speeds drop to like 1kb...

Will cancel tomorrow if no resolution. and someone better take my call AND give me a f'ing refund.
 
Yeah I know, had the experience in the first week of January as well, came right for a couple of days, and the erratic speeds again until the last week of the month where it dropped dramatically again... I am not a happy camper/screamer...

Edit... seems my browsing came right not full speed but better...

since i've joined screamer (Dec 09) my surfing experience hasn't been very good... connection sometimes times out on websites and i have to refresh the webpage most of the time to get the webpage to display...
i was happier with my telkom account...
latency sucks at the moments, almost impossible for online gaming.

I have exactly the same problem here. I can't login either. Howzit please assist.........

Just logged onto the Screamer Customer Zone (Where you check your data stats) and my account status shows expired. How can that be. I paid for Feb already.............
Starting to get irritated.

Yep had the exact same thing (with the "Expired" on my account). I mailed customer service last night, 8am today i got a mail from them saying i should try again......

...and i'm up and running again. My status is now "Active" again on the site.

At least they sorted it out quickly!

No EFT as payment option... seems like Ill be stuck with a chilli taste in my mouth
 
wow... another day.. how many months later.. and screamer still has tones of issues!
 
Just a quick update

There was a lot of fine tuning of the new systems today and this will probably continue untill lunch time tomorrow so you might notice some fluctuations every now and then.
