Sign a warning letter?

I know.

It'd be far easier to simply say 'we don't like you ; let's agree on a payout and you can go' Poor form the GM hasn't been available and it needed be postponed once and she had a meeting the second time too.

folllowing up from Sand_man, @Dolby - what's your line of work?

Nope - nothing lined up

Telkom died on me 19th August (they working on it now) so I've battled to do much via tablet and phone.

I'm going tomorrow to buy a mobile back up though if Telkom doesn't work when I get home.

I'm in IT field, but corporate and commercial

Don't see how it can result from this current process, which is an appeal against a warning letter issued.

Based on my experience, I would agree with sand_man and I assume the worst

I cannot wait to name and shame this company.

+1000

If he gets fired after all this then we should all contact them to warn them that they will never be able to get new clients again coz we will put it out there that they are shady. This story makes my blood boil.

Tell you what, if he doesn't get fired and his company gets wind of this thread he could be up for another warning for mucking around on company time.

That is also a concern I have...
On another trend, I have been toying with the idea of creating a database of bad employers for some time now... In other words, getting a rating of a company before you work for them... Unfortunately too complex for my brain to handle all the potential loopholes and the other issues.

Well that goes for all of us here really, including yourself.

Indeed it does...
I have stated my case elsewhere, not much to do around here. There is no real work to do...
Its not as if they are not aware, they walk past my desk often enough to see I am here on MyBB.

Maybe it's the same for Dolby, for all we know. Or used to be, before bitchzilla showed up.

Have you heard about glassdoor?

Yes I know about it... will look into that into the new year... going to stick around here for the 13th check before I do anything

hehe.

I won't name and shame, because that could be opening myself up for worse than fabricated warnings. I think from something so petty this is because I've stepped on toes and egos are in the way.

They know they have a fabricated charge and instead of dealing with it in a proper fashion, they do this and try backtrack and 'win' over a junior? In my 13 years of working, I've never come across a company that outright lies to get their own way. Other companies may do the odd thing that is unfair - but this is on another level.

They need to be wary of other warnings at this time because they could get a constructive dismissal / harassment / victimization. Though, seems they don't care
