Sign a warning letter?

LOL.

Made me laugh ;)

I've had to help someone with something similar recently...

Recording device EVERY time you interact with the person, etc etc...Protect yourself at all costs until you find another job.

Do Not Resign!

I'd recommend resigning - but under the correct circumstances. Actively look for a job, and spin this one out as long as possible in the meanwhile, but I'd rather line another job up and resign than give her the satisfaction of firing me and having that on my employment record.

Yeah, should have been more specific - 100% agree with what you said above.

I had a friend resign without having another job lined up, 2.5 years he's still looking for something stable :(

One other thing - who can issue you the warning? Only your line manager or anyone in seniority?

And that is exactly why I left that that business. Not same company, but similar line - politics and BS rules the day.

A really terrible GM started at our company and for whatever her reason is - dislikes me and is trying to work me out. I'm going to CCMA - but curious :

If you presented with a warning letter, do you HAVE to sign it and appeal later?

Or are you entitled to disagree and refuse the signature?

Happened to me.

Lawyer told. Me. I don't have to sign it. And I did not

Here's another update :

She is so wrong on the charges (process, charges, didn't send mails she claimed and a myriad of others), that it may be fairly easy for me to submit an appeal and it get overturned because, well, it's BS.

In that event - do I get a written apology or something for the hassle and victimization over the past 3 weeks?

Your company should have a grievance process... after your appeal is successful, you can lay a grievance against her with your desired outcome being a formal apology from her.

Just leave, it get on with the job, but make plans to make a move... there is no guarantee she won't try her luck again...
They don't know when to quit...

I agree, but I would go for an immediate resignation from her :D

as per?

My 2c -

Bullies are bullies and they dont change. They have positional power.

The other option you have, is to negotiate an exit strategy - ie pay me out and off I go.
This works if you have the upperhand in the CCMA or potentially a case that could to labour court - ie interdicting the boss not to victimise you.

That aside - trying to follow your posts, it seems that the case is null and void based on procedural unfairness in any case, assuming only one side of the story.

I get that same feeling. What do I know.

Out of interest - how so?

Very curious as to how it can be twisted to suit her.

EDIT : I have numerous emails printed to back me up, that I obviously cannot put on MyBB. You say you sent a mail for a meeting? Prove it - if it's true, shouldn't take more than a few seconds and a click of the forward button ...
