What does that mean? more benefits?

I was about to post a new thread till I saw this...

About Sim Sonke:
-We can now roam nationally. Great news... But I would like confirmation that the data bundles (which are only TM in the *180# menu) can also roam nationally (on MTN).

Different agents (social media + call centre) have been telling me different things.

Can anyone please confirm this? What happens when I buy a 2+1 gig bundle from my Sim Sonke and I am out of TM coverage and roaming (on MTN?)...

TM bundles only work on TM, not MTN. So in your case, the 2+1GB bundle won't work on MTN. You will pay 29c/MB.
 
Yes that is correct. Once you start to roam you get a sms saying you are now pay out of bundle rates for data.... Its charged at 29c per mb....

2+1GB do not work on MTN (roaming), I ported to Telkom Mobile from Cell C last Friday. I had to check all my common locations to check if they have TM coverage before I ported.

Free minutes only applies to Telkom Mobile numbers even when roaming on MTN.

Yes it does work.... I just confirmed it. Bought the R5 unlimited sim sonke to sim sonke call option and it was free to call even though both sim's was forced to roam on MTN.

Excellent news, considering to port my number to 8ta/Telkom Mobile :) Still getting cold feet.

Did Rica, 2 x Sim Sonke sim cards gave 1 to my mom, she was impressed at the call rates how cheap it is she even encourages her friends to join in the benefits. Told their kids, now they also want to be part of Telkom Mobile family

Sad but true.... I noticed some people at work that would rather stay with MTN cause they might get 15min free mtn to mtn calls during the day..... Very sad
