It's fine for Youtube (which works well now) but definitely not a candidate for any home theater setup. I'll probably give mine away to somebody.
On a 10mbps openserve fibre connection through Cool Ideas and mine has been flawless.

We are unable to reproduce this, and it is the only report we have so far. Have you tried changing wifi channels?Using 2.4Ghz about 10 meters away, 2 walls. So not sure if distance is a factor here but my other cheap chinese tv box works fine

Plex works perfectly .. havent tried SMB share...Does Plex client and smb work well on this box?

and the one i posted is the android tv version so you dont need a mouse and keyboard but can use the remote.

We have reproduced the issue. From the logs we are mounting devices read-write. This may be another Android 8 permissions issue. We will investigate and confirm this.
