We tested. The DStv Now account is retained through the update. We'd expect the same for Showmax.
Hi all, I have a problem with my skyworth box while watching a series or movie my box reboots randomly during a movie or a series this is the first I'm experiencing this. Any idea or solution to this would the 9.0 update sort this out. Thanks
perhaps its getting to hot?
I felt at the bottom but it is not hot at all, I also switch it off properly every night

Could be a software issue. Try the update to Android 9.0. What media player are you using?

They said it would be rolled out in stages ... , tho not sure when they start. Probably soon.

Google has a standard way of doing this. It's fairly random, but we expect it to complete before month end.

2nd box this morning done. My otherone I did last week. Seems to work well. The only thing missing is Netflix certification.

Can program the power button. It feels like the box boots quicker and the audio for me has a boost. I now have to turn the TV volume down.

Lost sound how? I can test mine...
No sound at all via Optical to soundbar, T.v volume plays fine and when connecting box and soundbar via Bluetooth it's OK... I read somewhere changing sound settings from Auto to PCM helps. I'll try that in the morning and see.
