Smart outdoor security cameras in SA?

Anyone ever tried the Amaryllo cameras? I’ve got one of the indoor units which works great. Setting it up took about 5 minutes and I have not had issues since. The only problem was that my WiFi signal dropped a few times and I had to reboot the camera. Think this TP link is a piece of crap. Will be changing it out shortly and hopefully no more problems to affect the camera

Pity I struggle to use free version of below tool as its a great tool

Interesting project making a Wyze pan cam solar powered.

But cheaper to buy a reolink

Any specific device in mind?

Any of their outdoor cameras. I’ve got the Isensor inside our place and figured getting a matching camera would be cool.

anyway while writing this post I figured it would be cheaper to get a set of other cameras instead.

And the wifi signal issue?

Thinking of upgrading my router sooner rather than later, given the bulk of devices wifi.

Reolink vs Wyze

1 Ito streaming to google chromecast, the reolink waaay quicker than the wyze.

Hope the outdoor wyze cam (hopefully being announced tomorrow) better and offers real google home integration.

2. Streaming on phone app, reolink virtually instant vs wyze which struggles initially to load. But other times, Wyze instant

My upgraded router is just lying here in the box. Need to swap out and hopefully problems are gone

Nice and solid as well - other one feels cheap.

Going to put them outside and see how they perform before ordering more.

Any feedback? Checked specs and camera for $30 plus Hiseeu on Banggood.

Must say brilliant detail. Are you using a NVR?

Wonder if it'll work with a Reolink NVR.

Want to use Wyze cams inside and/or generic POE cameras at non-critical spots and Reolinks outside at critical spots.

The camera's seem fine for adhoc connections. I asked my wife to add a cheap NVR to her last banggood order - so will see how they record.

I also got her to order another one of the cheaper plastic ones, they're easier to position outside our garage than the bullet cams.

If all goes well with the NVR, I'll do a big order to cover the rest of the property.

Thanks please do update once implemented.

My issue with reolink is
1. Expensive versus wyze
2. Seems only works with their NVR if I go the poe options

Suppose I'll use 3 reolinks for critical areas during loadshedding and wyze internally. Could also use Wyze for non-critical outdoor areas but prefer poe to limit impact on wifi bandwidth and cheaper. Plus those hiseeu poe cameras seem good quality for cheaper.

The 410 models work with any NVR
