Smart outdoor security cameras in SA?

How much did the Reolink camera's work out per piece landed? I still need 4... I don't think I can stomach Banggood again.

For me it was about $111 total cost.

But that was the Argus 2. Now that I am installing an inverter I might use poe options as my power should be secure.

But see below?

Check this out on takealot: Hikvision 1080P 2MP Turbo HD IR Bullet Camera

Plus minus 1k each

Might make more sense to order a single unit . As it might slip by customs

Hi

Just wanted to check if anybody can identify below Hikvision camera model.

Not a smart camera. Its day (colour) and night images look great on old monitor.

It looks like it might be the below:

This not the same camera, but just for comparison sake a look at the newer one which is quite cheap.

Screenshot was just taken on my phone. Then I took a photo of the actual camera

Thanks. Yep the one I posted not sold anymore. But just wanted to verify if correct model so I can verify specs and look for similar one.

I invested in wireless battery cameras. But since I'm installing a loadshedding kit, power not an issue anymore.

These cheap cameras look better than my expensive Reolink

I would not use the cheap cameras for longer distances though. Only for areas like in the pic above.

I also think the Hikvision cameras are a bit overpriced when compared to Dahua. Dahua cameras are just as good and in some cases you get better cameras at the same price.

Also check if you can adjust the focus on the reolink. I have not seen them before and never even bothered reading up on them yet. Might be that you need some adjustment on the cameras

Yep. Thought occurred to me.

Love Reolink as its wifi battery operated with a brilliant solar panel.

But image seems pixellated vs Hikvision. But yep maybe needs manual adjustment

Perhaps you are viewing on a sub stream.

Take a snapshot and compare

Or play a clip directly from the SD card

No manual settings according to manual.

It looks fine although not as great as online adverts (but better than Wyze) but when I zoom it looks pixellated.

Want to get the Reolink pan tilt and argus 3.

Rest I'll use poe cameras. Reolink or hikvision or dahua.

Internally wifi Wyze cameras. Ordered an outdoor Wyze. But prefer Reolink.

Does anybody know shipping and import duties on the reolink NVR?

Amazon is $176 shipping and import.

Decided to try out the 16 channel version. Cant afford Reolink at R6000!

[US$39.13 34% OFF]Hiseeu P2P 8CH 16CH 5MP 4MP H.265 NVR IP CCTV Board 1CH RCA Audio Out ONVIF Surveillance Network Video Recorder Security & Surveillance from Security & Protection on banggood.com

Will see how it works with a cheap hikvision cameras. If not, will buy some Hiseeu cameras as they seem okay quality.

Maybe someone has tried dahua or reolink or hikvision with the Hiseeu nvr?
