Smart outdoor security cameras in SA?

Decided to try out the 16 channel version. Cant afford Reolink at R6000!

[US$39.13 34% OFF]Hiseeu P2P 8CH 16CH 5MP 4MP H.265 NVR IP CCTV Board 1CH RCA Audio Out ONVIF Surveillance Network Video Recorder Security & Surveillance from Security & Protection on banggood.com

Will see how it works with a cheap hikvision cameras. If not, will buy some Hiseeu cameras as they seem okay quality.

Maybe someone has tried dahua or reolink or hikvision with the Hiseeu nvr?
The Hiseeu cameras are the favourite of the lot I have. Pity my wife is done with Banggood, otherwise I'd of asked her to order four more, now I need to find a new source.

Why not buy yourself? Its an app and website.

Will see when nvr arrives if Hikvision cheapies work or not.

Can't remember which one it was, but I think banggood - account got banned after a large successful PayPal claim.

I would order from AliExpress - but - post office..

Want to get the Reolink pan tilt and argus 3.

Rest I'll use poe cameras. Reolink or hikvision or dahua.

Internally wifi Wyze cameras. Ordered an outdoor Wyze. But prefer Reolink.
Keep an eye out on Carbonite or marketplace.

I picked up a full smart uniview Poe 16 NVR and 2 uniview Starlite cams for 3.5k

Try Gearbest ... I normally order cell related stuff from them. But shipping options seem limited

Not on carbonite ... ass moderator with a small ego banned me for sticking up for someone.

Joke is ... some guy they unbanned since the moderators know him, sold me a PSU that was a dud when I got around to using it.

Also regular rip offs occurred from some brothers in Pretoria. Hope those scammers got caught!

The NVR will need to be linked to a POE switch but I just want to test out some POE cameras. With installation of inverter, no need for battery operated cameras. Wifi also not as reliable as wired cameras. Slight lag sometimes.

I notice although described as an NVR, on image it states DVR and I see no wifi aerials to handle wifi cameras?

So rather cancelled.

You'll have to alert me.

Struggling to get decent ones. A 2nd hand 16 channel Hikvision POE going for R5000 but might just as well order the 16 channel Reolink brandnew at that price.

On Aliexpress there are options in the official Hiseeu store to ship via DHL or ship to Singapore (usually for free) and then use Aramex Global Shopper from there?

Update:

Reolink although delay casts easily via chromecast on google assistant.

Wyze does cast but the delay just too long, for me at least.

PS google nest hub can now stream netflix!

Interesting reolink setup with a NAS and POE switch

Yep. Thought occurred to me.

Love Reolink as its wifi battery operated with a brilliant solar panel.

But image seems pixellated vs Hikvision. But yep maybe needs manual adjustment
See this now regarding blurry lens:

^^^ I just finished installing 8 of the Reolink RLC-410 cameras at home and I was pretty impressed with the day and night time performance of these, especially when I paid $45 each including DHL delivery. To be honest, I’ve not noticed any blurry images on any of them.

Running them on Blue Iris setup on a gen8 i5 Dell mini desktop bought off Carbonite; 8*5MP and 2*Older 1MP cams using less than 30% cpu so there’s enough headroom to add another cam or two.

Its fine enough but the reolink argus 2 not 5mp like the reolinks 410s.

Reolink sells it directly with delivery. Did you pay additional costs eg import or clearance fees?

For argus 2 I paid nothing additional. But if I recall correctly (iirc) @alqassam paid R150 handling/clearance/import fee per camera for his 2 RLC410s?

Bought 2 x RLC410s. Will see if any additional costs to be paid and how they work.

Yeah, DHL charged me VAT and a disembursement fee. They’ve always charged me that, maybe because I have an importers code on their system as I use them for my business imports as well. I think it was around R900 (mostly vat because of the $360 total price). Reolink didn’t charge for shipping so I’m not unhappy to be honest.

A reference pic at night of the 5MP model. It’s pretty dark with the naked eye, the lights on the wall aren’t very bright - you can actually see the blob of light from the IR illuminator on the ground.

Assume R900 for all 8 and not per camera?

Hoping 2 x RLC410s arrives w.o any additional cost like argus 2.

Btw the argus 2 with solar panel an absolute pleasure. It just works and solar panel charges battery. No issues at all.

See Reolink pic below in day time for comparison.

I prefer to get wireless and ptz cameras but pricy!

But for area covered by argus 2, I'll replace with a RLC410, to improve the night image (yours looks excellent).

Lol yeah, for the whole lot. Technically, I paid R900 for shipping to my door in less than 2 weeks. I can't complain about that for 8 cameras.
