Yip, titanic... PDV will start feeling the pressure round about now... Got to be the worst/best job in the world, coaching the Springboks...

Unfortunately for Chavanga, other than you and me no one else agreesOnly thing I would have liked is Chavanga over JP...
That in its self is worrying and a bit of an indictment on the team. In order for the Boks to have a better than slim chance of winning we need the All Black team to be weakened by injuries and retirements...It's funny but general "expert" consensus seems to be that this may be our best chance in many a year to get one over on the All Blacks. They have problems with a number of guys retiring, and a few injuries including captain Richie McCaw...
Team looks good...
Only thing I would have liked is Chavanga over JP... JP is having a crap season, Chavanga had 2 bad games... Think he should have been included... Habana and Chavange is our best combination on wing...
Rest of the team looks pretty good...
Unfortunately for Chavanga, other than you and me no one else agrees![]()
Sorry guys but he will not stand up in defence against wingers like joe rokothoko or sitivini sivivatu....imo.
The ball has to get to them first.... many people said the same thing about a chap called Jonah Lomu.... and we all know he never scored one try against SA
mmmmm, really what I am saying is his defence is kuk![]()
Wow and you think JP is good??
He made one tackle in the World Cup and because it was a crusual one, people think he is good in defence nowChavanga isnt that small guy, sat next to him ones at Newlands, got massive arms... All he has to do is run into the guy and on the other side of the coin run and score tries (He scored some of the best tries this season)
Now they included JP who isnt great in defense and isnt scoring tries either![]()
I can sense a faint sound whenever I come into this thread recently..... what is it.... wait I can hear it clearer.... it sounds like..... like.......
...province.... province....
Pffft, keep on dreaming![]()
JP has good defence. He is especially good when those on the inside marshall the defence well.
Only one tackle in the world cup,, lolz, now now, keep it real.
My backline for the game against NZ out of the players selected to tour.
9 - Enrico Januarie
10 - Butch James
11 - Bryan Habana
12 - Jean de Villiers
13 - Francois Steyn
14 - JP Pietersen
15 - Percy Montgomery
I heard Watson will def. start in the Tri-nation games....
FFS, he can't play for shyt
Will Jantjies be able to stop Nonu on a charge?
Percy has loads of experience in big games, perhaps Conrad will get a run but I hope Percy takes the field first.
I like Steyn inside as well to be honest, between him and Butch they would keep the defense really guessing, but what are the odds they will move Jean wider, doubt it.
Either way you configure it, it is a beefy backline with lots of class.
