Telkom ADSL line upgrade

good evening all

According to Helkom, they were/are in the process of upgrading 384kb/s to 1mb/s, and all the rest....
Does anybody know what has/is happening to this process? It's almost the end to the first quarter of the year and still my father's ADSL line is running at 384kb/s:wtf:. If anyone can shed some light on this issue, it will be highly appreciated

The 384k to 1M upgrade required a port reset by Telkom on both my sisters' ADSL lines unlike the 1M to 2M lines which happened with a resync. Give Telkom, or your ISP if you are getting the line from one, a call and get the port reset.

I just called Helkom and my line was on a 1mbps profile but needed to reset the port. They have reset the port and it is now syncing at 800kbps(to far away from the exchange). It's not exactly 1mbps but is much better than 384kbps. Now all i need to know is the number to call so that they can build an exchange in the area. I mean 1 exchange to service an area as big as the one we're staying in is ridiculous.
