Good to hear.
I have no complaints either. Very happy.
Moved during January to uncapped, but line issues were only sorted on 7th of March. Done 70 GB on 4MB. Mostky gaming and updates.

I concur, line still performing admirably, also had my line synced at 2Mps instead of 1.5Mps.

Youtube HD, most of the time no buffering :D.

Supersport streaming, no buffering.

No soft capping or severe shaping experienced.

I don't play online games so can't comment.

Good work Telkom Internet even though I hate you guys as a parastatal.

After the first few days with TI Uncapped 4MB and I'm still smiling; but as I've learned many times before the first week(s) are fairly meaningless.

How much data have you guys put through on a monthly basis without any issues?

Been quite happy with my Telkom account. I've got two 2mb lines (one for me and the other for the SO) running on one 2mb uncapped data package.

We are both running at full line speed (in her case at least, I'm syncing at 1600kbps) and have done close to 200gb so far for this month.

I get full line speed on youtube 24/7 which is gosh darn excellent:)

My EU pings is a little bit higher (210 - 240) than with my previous ISP but I have a much better overall experience than when I was getting pings of 180.

My connection has just ground to a a halt. :-/ If I try download something, it sits at 40KB/s, much like last months soft capping.

Speed Test gives me a "Download Error" when trying to start a test.

Oh my ****.. my account has been closed, they keep saying I called in this morning and closed it.

Can't seem to grasp that I would remember calling in 6 hours ago... but they seem adamant I called it and closed it this morning.

That is pathetic or a cruel joke. Don't they normally check identity by asking a couple of questions?

I'm now waiting for them to call back .. I asked them how the account was closed without an ID check, they don't know.

This is really bad. You know I heard a story the other day where someone apparently said that they are going to phone and cancel someone else's Adsl. This was said in a gaming conversation. I do not know if they were joking around or were serious, but my thoughts were that they woukd not be able to do it.

This is really terrible if this can happen and equally bad if it was a case of an admin error.

:(

Well from my side, when I upgraded my account, they wanted everything, my address, my ID number, and they even sent me an OTP to confirm that the cellphone number I gave them is really mine. So I don't know what idiot went and deactivated an account without confirmation.

Hopefully they put in some effort to try and find out who the operator was at the call center that deactivated the account.

Hi guys :), with all this Seacom palava I'm seriously thinking of going Telkom. I average 200-300gig a month and currently with Mweb (since 09/2010) with no issues i.e. warnings, etc. The savings would be great and I would like to know what's the max limit you guys hit before throttling, soft cap or warning e-mails?

Thank you in advance :)

When applying would you have to close your current account (adsl line) and apply for a new service?
