So, I've sent a lot of info over the past couple weeks about PoE specifically.

It would be great to know just what is going on?

If you guys need more info from me, please, for the love of god, let me know.

Pft...do that same thing after 5....will be back to 500+

8-5 my NNTP downloads are flying....
And it's not congestion....my local speedtest i get 3.5 Mb....Int is about 300Kb/s....
I'm thinking they don't have any international backup....or they do but not enough...

I think it is a given that they are lacking bandwidth hence the "blame third party" statement. The third party being Telkom I assume but could be SAIX or a host of other providers. Lets be clear the problem is not hardware related and purely a lack of capacity issue.
 
I'm sorry, it doesn't take three weeks to sort out something like this if you know what you're doing.

Had a reply from @TelkomZA last night requesting my line details / speedtest / traceroute. Waiting on him to reply today, see if he has anything for us.

I see on Twitter they keep requesting details like this, but wtf is the point if just about everyone is having the same problem?

Exactly! If I noticed that nobody else was complaining then I might consider providing my details.

HOWEVER, we are all fecking complaining and we are all over the bloody country!!!!! :mad:
 
I'm getting 1/2 line speed, which is probably the best in three weeks - not sure how long it'll last.
 
I have sent PM's, traceroutes, emails, speedtests, game servers, game information, EVERYTHING they have asked for.

Absolutely nothing, after some promising sounding interaction with one of the reps laaaast week sometime.

Since then? Nothing, ****all, nada and no difference.

What is wrong with them?

After the holiday disaster you'd expect them to be on their toes, right?

That way, they string all those people along letting them think the problem is on their side, knowing full well the trouble is on Telkom's side.
 
I think the most annoying thing is that we are all here trying to get answers and willing to give all the input we can to help and what feedback we get, **** all
