Thanks. I tried that, but when I go to check for updates, it says the system is up to date? Is there a way to manually update? You need to update the Lit Box. That happens when you did only 1 of the 2 updates that needs to be done.

Try unplugging the Lit Box from the wall and leaving it off for an hour or so and then plug it in and see if the update comes through. You can also try and phone Nology and ask for support. They might be able to help.Thanks. I tried that, but when I go to check for updates, it says the system is up to date? Is there a way to manually update?

Google don't want you using Chrome on Android TV... It's actually a conscious choice to remove its use. It'll effect anything running Android TV though... Mi or Shield etcApologies if this has been answered already. Got a Telkon LIT box few days ago and I am struggling installing Google Chrome on the box. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Thank you very much. Unfortunately, the device is not recognized on PC (no eligible device) ... so, tough luckGoogle don't want you using Chrome on Android TV... It's actually a conscious choice to remove its use. It'll effect anything running Android TV though... Mi or Shield etc
That said, a while back you could search and install via the PC. Ie search for Chrome, click install and in the drop down box, select LIT.
Unsure if it still works
For those with Kodi installed:
**Dstv Now addon in Kodi don't count as a device anymore.** You can use it even if 4 devices are active on your account.
I've tested it for a few days now, without issues. When you start a live or catchup stream a quality selector pops up allowing you to choose the quality of the stream.
You can ignore the part about installing widevine since it's already on the device.
Just a few kilobytes for the addon and you're good to go.

Ping what address from the pi? connect.dstv.com It was the address in the error message, it does not seem to be an account issue as I just tried it on the pc and it works fine. I'm thinking the Old man did something funny or perhaps an update managed to sneak itself through( the addon only...mybroadband.co.za
Just wanted to comment about the es file explorer issue. If you Google it you will see that there was some security exploit issue with the app. That's why it was removed from the google play store.Thank you very much. Unfortunately, the device is not recognized on PC (no eligible device) ... so, tough luck. Strange enough, I cannot find ES File Explorer as a valid app to install on the box (on PC, the device is also grayed out).
I've seen a question asked few month back about apps currently used but from that list there are quite a few that I cannot find in the Google Play list. Also, I've installed an app last week, which I then deleted and now I cannot find that app in the list any longer. It is possible that an update on the LIT made the device incompatible with some apps on Google Play?

Hi,
I'm looking to get one for my parents. Is Netflix sorted now on this box, or must I still sideload it?
Does it work with sideloaded apps? I tried it on a Skyworth box, but the Netflix app blocks the use once inside the app.
Thanks in advance.

With the Lit you would have a better chance to expand storage space to allow downloading, but the answer remain the same as in the Xiaomi Mi Box thread.Hi Everyone. I have recently started using the Telkom Lit Box. Does anyone know how to enable downloads for movies or series on DSTV now. On the tablet, it allows you to download a show and watch later. I would like to be able to do the same on the LIT box due to the inconsistent bandwidth in my area.
