TelkomInternet - Capped Users for May 2007

Hmmm i want to know where i can change my password.. I think someone has gotten hold of my account details..

Anyone know where this can be done?

I tried my first account, which was capped at 3.2 gigs, today again - and to my surprise it is working again. I wonder for how long :)

Telkom Tracker says im on 3.0676 GB while SAIX Tracker (counting last session) is on 2.336GB. This could be a problem. There is a large difference between these two figures.
 
Uncapped

I was capped at 4.3GB yesterday. This evening I am back online...Telkom musta sorted out some "glitches". Well hopefully I have till 6GB, so I will take it easy for the rest of the month...
 
That is wierd.
Wonder if they will make this whole double your bandwidth thing official or is it only till a certain number of users have reached over their limit and then they start hardcapping again?

Then, why oh why stay with telscum.

I signed up for a TelkomInternet account 2 months ago, and seems I have missed the band wagon. Damn, I was looking forward to 10GB for R250. I managed to get 8GB from it last month, but cancelled it this evening. Think I will rather pay R290 for a 5GB accound via WA, and know I have a guaranteed 5GB to use, only R50 more than telscum...
 
Who can help me here why do we have to be capped in the first place? Surely the more we use the net the more advertisers and the such will be exposed etc.
 
`kin hell no wonder we going backwards here in SA, just another reason to pack up my troubles in my old balsak and leave leave leave!

I can also see a discrepancy between SAIX and Telkominternet it started in the beginning of the week and it is growing larger . Bonobo_sir what is happening here ?

I was capped on 2007-05-09 could not get the absa website and I received the dredded adsl restrictions e-mail. Today when I went online to do banking my homepage (absa) displayed.I was surprized because when i'm capped i could not even get the page.I tried some international pages and it displayed.Seems that I have been uncapped.Can someone verify this.Here is my adsl restrictions e-mail.

iamgoku, I had the exact same happen with me. On the 8th I was capped, and I received the restrictions e-mail only the next day. Last night I tried again, and I was uncapped and surfing away.
Bonobo_slr claims that we are allowed up to 6GB if we have a 3GB account, so perhaps there were some glitches in this new Telkom system which didnt allow us our supposed 6GB, but has now been rectified. Perhaps Bonobo_slr can explain?
 
davidr - i would tend to believe that is what has happened.
 
Time Has Come

I think time has come to all stand together and get ourselves other ISP's.
Since there's no more + in Telkoms capping, whats the use of staying with them ?
 
What I have decided to do is cancel both TI 3GBs but get one 2GB TI account.. effective 4GB for R149 for me is still acceptable.. I can do everything else I want over IS
