Do you know what the deal is with the high latencies on SA Steam game servers these last few days? I am on TelkomInternet 4mb and friends of mine, one of which is on 10mb Metro Ethernet, are having the same problems as well as other guys on the servers. We battling with pings of 150ms+ but nobody seems to know what's going on. Can you shed any light? Battlefield servers hosted on Saix are fine, just seems to affect Steam games. Not sure who to talk to so thought I'd try my luck here, perhaps you know :)

Do you have the super powers which can disable Value Added Services from a Telkom account? If yes, please let me know what info I can PM to you to help me :)

For some reason, one can only activate VAS via the Telkom website and not deactivate any! Not very nice of Telkom...

Hi TelkomZA,

Could you please have a look into my congestion issue. My closed fault nr. is 565CWK081013

The Telkom technicians all went and tested the ADSL line itself and accused my modem/alarm/telephone for being at fault, when I know there's nothing wrong with it, because I've tested with the alarm & telephone unplugged, used a different modem and tried various ISP accounts.

Its clearly congestion when I'm on a 4Mbps ADSL line (synced at 4096/512) and I'm barely getting 1Mbps between 07:00 and 00:00 and only getting 3.4Mbps (max throughput) at 04:00 in the morning.

Today during the storm my line went very noisy and adsl went down then up at a very low speed.

I have pmed you hopefully you will respond.

I have problem with my phone line is making an cracking noise , however my Adsl line is working not to bad.I have called telkom and have a reference number , below is my adsl status

Wow PM the Telkom guy yesterday at 2pm-3pm,the techy phoned at 4pm and heard the line has noise,techy came around today at 9am :O is this a new era for Telkom? if so then im liking the service a lot!

I want to log into the Telkom site to view my account details but I cant get into the site, and I dont know what my password is for Telkom Mail if they send a password reset :wtf: . Please help me
 
My phone line and adsl is all working again but sadly lost my adsl2+ when they changed me to another port since the other was faulty :(:D well least my speed is back.

Nice :) Now you can continue to participate in future myBB competitions without any line issues negatively influencing your chances of being selected as a winner.
