Why is my account due on the 25th of the month? I get paid later than this. Now I get saddled with late payment charges.

How do I move it to the end of the month?

Hello

I am currently linked up to this exchange - http://www.broadbandstats.co.za/exchange/RODE

for the past 18 months, iv had to put up with a constant 1000ms + ping every day from 5pm-1am on weekdays...and all day on weekends...iv had numerous calls with Telkom, all of which resulted in a technician being dispatched who would change the port at my exchange as the only solution he saw, which of course would never help.

I dont understand what the cause is because iv had technicians tell me and show me that everything on the line is fine, I know its not my isp (mweb) because i've tested this on an afrihost account, i bought a brand new router to no avail, i replaced all the cords here at home to no avail...the only cause i can point out is that the exchange is way too congested, however i have seen no posts related to my exchange causing these high ping issues at all for anyone else. I live about 1.5km from the exchange so that isnt an issue either, and i know for a fact that no one is using my wifi and that my system is clean of any sort of malware.

However, from the start of June until about the 10th of July i had great internet with a constant 20ms ping ... you have absolutely no idea how satisfactory it was to know the issue was gone, until 4 days ago when my ping gently crept up to that 1000ms mark again, and now i have my old issue back once again after about a month of relief...Ive also been told that i cannot move my line to a different exchange at all, unfortunately.

I do not know whats wrong, and i need help desperately.

Does anyone have any ideas of what the cause might be? Anyone know some info about my exchange etc

Help would be greatly appreciated... especially seeing as we have a Telkom representative on the forum now.

Regards
Kyle

Thanks TelkomZA team. Almost instantaneous response by a clearly able and dedicated support guy, really impressed.

Exchange congestion, Telkom connects more and more people without bothering to upgrade the exchange backhaul - been there was hell. Had to complain every day for three months thus I don't like Telkom, and try not to support them where possible.

TelkomZA your the best thing since sliced bread. one pvt message with relevant details and it was sorted out.

A simple phone call from someone who has a passion for sorting out queries is refreshing.

And the best part is that the person who said he will phone back, DID ! ( twice )

Thanks for putting in the extra effort its much appreciated .

Tim

Hi Tim

TelkomZA.

Can you assist with a Diginet link that went down for no apparent reason this morning?

It's on our VOIP system and I'm getting fed up with the service I'm getting from the provider...

Edit: Lines up again. Thanks anyway.

Common trend to be noted....

In your PM you need to include your details including your ADSL line number and fault ref number if you have one, with a description of the problem being experienced. This will ensure a faster response.

So I must pm him rather? Thought I just had to post in here.
