My telkom torrents are really slow. I'm not capped we have multiple people complaining about this, why ignore it?

And If reach my cap. I'm supposed to get a soft cap afterwards what is the limit on the softcap I have to know?
 
Ok, I have taken the plunge and registered for twitter. I have 'made' a 'tweet'. I started it with '@TelkomZA', but I dont see it on https://twitter.com/TelkomZA#. My brother tells me, they have to follow me first. How do I get them to follow me?

They only respond in office hours. They will read your message and then follow you and the rest of the contact will occur via DM (Digital Message).
It is like a PM.

You don't see your tweet to them on their wall, only on your own wall. You can only send a DM (direct message/pm) once they follow you back...they will reply to your tweet to let you know when you can DM them with your details.
 
Hello TelkomZA,

I've (and many others) been experiencing very high latency/ping to international servers for almost over 2 weeks now. Is Telkom aware of this issue? Is something being done about it? What is the reason for it? Cause that's the main reason I use the internet ...gaming. Gaming needs good, or at least reasonable latency.

@TelkomZA - Fault Ref No. 11CRK100114. I have an open fault , which I was promised would be escalated to have a quick resolution.
Well the problem itself has escalated and not the actual resolution thereof. Not only has the deterioration in my actual ADSL line quality persisted, but now the actual landline has gone. I am unable to log another fault, due to the existing open fault.
Please can I have this matter resolved and may I also have an escalation ref no. to have my services restored.
 
So since I got telkom adsl whenever I use the phone I get an echo / howl from the handset - like a microphone next to a speaker? even when I switch off the adsl the howl is still there?

as a novice to IT - is this a problem? what is causing it?

was never there before telkom adsl!

Report a line fault.
It is possible that it might influence your ADSL experience as welll.
 
Me to. My sync speed seems to be fine yet downloading or rather my throughput is crap.

I'm thinking of getting ADSL and need to confirm if the Rosettenville RJRV Exchange is not congested.

Since this free upgrade from 4meg to 10meg I am experiencing slower speeds and lag while playing online is so bad...would it be best to bring me back to 4meg cause i was a happier customer then...

Since my adsl went from 1M to 2M my actual download speed has dropped from 113Kbytes/sec to 10Kbytes/sec. Latency has gone from 25ms to 550ms and the modem drops the line during downloads which never happened before. This is a downgrade not an upgrade. I have logged 11 fault reports this year and nothing has changed. The Rand is doing the same.
