Found out this morning major cable fault, been down since 28 December...

Maybe this will mean they will pull a new cable in or cable us to the brand new cable across the road.

So it's just if we ask for help with a fault ticket going no where that we're then ignored.
They've always responded to my line fault queries, I suspect ping time complaints, billing queries, new service chasing and the like might not receive the same degree of attention.

pretty much the same feeling when I phone their joke of a call centre.

I hate to tempt fate but the Telkom service in PE is pretty good judging by the complaints I see posted from other areas, also we're pretty much spared the lightning hassles you guys have which is probably what took out your main cable.

edit: 10210 is piss poor no matter where you phone from though
 
Was more likely rain, they have a man hole where they jump into to do 90% of they fixing, it also happens to be the man hole that keeps on flooding.

Well i'm guessing thats what this is about again,

but can also hope that it's a total cable write off which might prompt them to go the route all the local techies has been begging for, directly down Hennie alberts to the Meyersdal exchange, the cable we're on is a relic from the old days when the exchange was still down in Alrode.

If I'm not mistaken someone posted that Telkom downscaled their staff in the call centre? If so there is a noticeable decrease on client satisfaction!! If not then they should re think their recruitment process and employ more skilled staff. But what the chances of that happening lol
 
... ye and that now lead to us having to hold on and wait for a call centre Op to answer to the tune of 20-30 min.

A disgrace, I use to work on a call centre and we got taken over the coals if a caller waited more than 2 min on music.

I've sometimes gotten replies at 4am on a Sunday morning...
In 2015?
I have a packet loss issue that I reported today, but I doubt the techy that will attend will know what I'm talking about, so I would like to send the TelkomZA team some info.

I was on the verge of sending the info to them, but because I never got any feedback or acknowledgement last week from them, I didn't.
 
I think this company has unofficially shut down all customer care.

After years of running ADSL hassle free, bar one or two issues that were quickly resolved, the past couple of months has seen me experiencing the worst customer service I have ever have the misfortune of.

If I don't get action from them tomorrow on the 4th fault I have logged for the same resyncing issue since December, I will have no option but to refuse payment to them at the end of the month. They just keep clearing the faults without actually attending to them.

Right now I have no voice line and ADSL works about 5% of the time. What am I supposed to do? Just sit back and accept this?

Ridiculous. And totally unacceptable.

Dear TelkomZA

This is the speeds I'm getting since early December. I've tried every channel to fix this but nothing has happened as of yet. Logged via the web, via call centre and via Twitter.

Got sms's for a month on end and then without fixing anything the fault were cleared.

Could you please try to assist me please. I'm on the brink of cancelling after 7 hassle free years, Please.
 
I finally got my line back this afternoon after no fewer than 5 faults were logged, each of which were cleared by Telkom without the fault being fixed. I eventually went to one of their retail stores and found a friendly manager who was able to somehow get somebody to attend to the issue.

It still resets my connection randomly, but Id rather deal with that than deal with no line at all.
 
Closed fault 6 already and still not resolved lawyers letter now I have had it with this useless company run by incompetent idiots
