TELKOM Fault Ref: 133CWK240816 logged on 24-8-2016

TelkomZA has been updating me as to where our fault report has been doing the rounds in Telkom - however physically we still have no land lines working after the DSL was fixed.

I've gone to buy cell phone SIMS now and had them RICA'd (and not 8ta or Telkom) to fit into old cell phones, and will use them instead of Telkom landlines. As this Telkom service is totally ridiculous.

I haven't received my bill in 6 months. Via mail or email. I usually have to beg them on twitter for them to email it. And it comes with a late payment penalty every month

Ever since charl left TZA hasnt been of much use, PMed him twice with no response.

I also see him going on and off throughout the day.

Do you really have to wait 30 days for Telkom to move your ADSL line to the Openserve Holding Pool?
Should I just wait 1-2 months and hope to receive a phone call or is there a faster way?
I don't understand all the waiting since your new ISP that manages the line will still pay Telkom for it.

I dont think it should take 30 days to move it. If it did take 30 days, that would mean that the isp you moving your line to, would also have to take a few days to pick up that in the holding pool. Im pretty sure if all goes well, it should take around 10 to 14 days, perhaps even less to move it, and for said isp to pick it up.

Who decides when boxes in the road gets upgraded. A couple of different Telkom technicians told they submit request after request to upgrade the box in my road as it is badly corroded but nothing gets done about it. They trying to get a ISAN box installed due to local business in the area. Crazy to think a fire line it running a few hundred meter from my house but I cant connect to it.

Good morning

My line was successfully transferred to my new address on Friday and dsl is already activated on it. When I request it to be transferred back to my isp however they cant find it on their systems. I received an email stating that the line either doesn't exist or that it wasn't properly verified.

Can someone please verify that the installation was completed on the system so I can transfer it back over from the holding pool.

Yo

Rather PM your telephone number and edit it so it is not visible for the whole internet to see here!

Wonder if anyone can assist. I have had a problem with my line lately, it's telkom cause. So they called me today after I logged the fault yesterday but I was in a meeting at the time. The number they called from was 021 414 7500. However I can't seem to call them back, anyone know another number except the 10210 number>

Thank you
