Stopped using DNS66 more than a year ago... it had issues eventually with updates etc. There are open source alternatives available that are way better.

What other open source alternatives are better?

i still used it recently without vpn. I deleted it as TT has almost all the shows I watch.

Use the official Terrarium apk with ads from apkmirror, then use something like DNS66 to block ads (not the ribbon ads in apps, but the irritating full screen ads and video ads) on your device.

It's for slightly advance users to very advance. Inexperienced user...use Google.

Anyone else has this issue where the movie will randomly stop and then go back to the section where you have to choose a link again and then play the movie again?

It happened to me twice whole watching a movie and it's quite frustrating

Yes, but usually only in the evenings when I know the exchange is congested. Also might be server dependent.

It happens all the time for me sadly, even with good high quality links

You can avoid any buffering if you download the file and watch it offline. You don't even have to wait for the whole file to download before you start watching it.

Apologies for the noob question but if I download the file is it stored on my device (I have a xiaomi mi 3) or will it prompt me to choose a location?

You can choose the download location in the settings but It's advisable to use an external downloader by selecting"play with" and choosing the downloader.

If I remember correctly you can't set the path with the built in download manager, but it does tell you what the path is in the settings.

I use ADM so that I can manage my downloads better. Remember that if you want to watch while downloading and you are using a download manager, set it to 1 segment per file.
