The 2016 Way Less Objectivity thread

Still a great go. Longest I've swum in a session is training for the mile but I've heard of some folks who swim longer stretches and wonder how they do it. Nevermind speed, endurance alone must be paramount.
I'm doing 60 lengths in a 25 meter pool. 1.5 kms in about 40-45 mins. I feel like I could do more but that's all I have time for. My body feels great and I'm glad I learned to swim well when younger cos your body remembers. Maybe I can spend some extra long sessions doing more.
Now just to keep up with the weight loss... I find THAT to be far, far harder.

88 this morning. I decided to add cycling to my exercise routine which landed me in the emergency room on Monday night when a motorist knocked me down and now I'm back to walking.

did not have a good weekend.

6beers on friday
1beer on saturday
couple of handfuls of simba chips on friday
a whole pack on sunday of cheese curls
two big spoons of my daughters peppermint crisp tert.... eish

110.3kg

100.9 this morning. Determined to get below 100 this week. Didn't have that great a weekend with a serving of rice with my food, as well as brocolli with cheese sauce and some malva pudding and ice cream last night. Oh and three hunter's.

Had too much beer when young to be able to drink it now :), used to drink crossbow cider in the early nineties but that got discontinued...

Get some hand paddles - it will build extra arm muscle and you should go faster, so you end up doing more laps, though 60 laps at round 45 mins is decent going anyhow, well done.
I swim around 40 laps a session, too tired to do more.

it is but a wobble, put it past you, get back in the saddle, next time you see a bag of cheese curls, pretend you work for kellogs and piss on it!!

I'm OK, the stitches came out yesterday, I hit his bonnet and the the road with my face, and I was lucky not to break anything. My road biking days are finally over. I will now only ride offroad. BTW I have a slightly used road bike for sale.

What I did find interesting is that I picked up weight when I started getting fit, I imagine it's from building muscle, and I have less fat to burn now that I lost most of it. I lost 30kg through LCHF over the last 2 years but I did not do too much exercise apart from walking.

Ugh

Head feels the size of a beach ball
Rivers of snot everywhere
Face aches

Just want comfort food :(

Wow, it has been a while since I have checked in with the Weight Loss Threads. It was these threads that helped me reduce my 126KG initial weight to a nice 80KG :)

I would love to join this year... I want to try make 76KG as my new "default" weight. I am currently weighing in at 80KG, my height is 1.83M. I currently wear size 32 jeans / shorts / pants (i can fit into some size 30's). Will spend most of my time jogging... then I will go to gym now and then.

Does anyone use the Nike Running app?? I use this to track my jogging.

I should work on trimming this remainder belly fat :( Its not too bad, but its there :(

I love the nike app, just a pity you cannot use it to claim points on discovery

145.2kg

This plateau is annoying.

Will hopefully be allowed to start cycling at the end of the month.

Yoh some of you okes are groot meneere! Congrats on achieving what you have with the big changes you've made!

I'm 77kg atm, want to get down to 73kg to be fighting fit and get rid of the belly fat i've accumulated.

To this end i'm back doing Kung Fu and Boxing for 4 classes a week.

The lowest i've managed so far is 74kg - whereas I used to be far lighter at 65kg at the end of matric.

Anyone on LCHF doing exercises/gym.

I'm finding that a low carb diet kills the motivation for exercise.

I notice that the eating/exercise plan followed by actors who have to look good works the best.
