Ok so I've started exercising this year since Jan started walking an hour in the evenings get the blood flowing and this week started cycling for an hour in the evenings

current weight 98kg
goal weight - 80kg

but so far have not seen any weight loss, also not on any specific eating plan yet.

looking for a decent protein shake - one that does not have wheat / yeast / sugar in it?

any suggestions?

I was pretty much in your shoes 1 December 2016 I weighed 96kg I now weigh 77kg.

First thing I did was eat half of everything I used too and take up light exercise (like your walking), I lost 3kg's per month for the first 3 months.

Month 4/5 I lost no weight even though I was jogging regularly. Got pretty irritating

Month 6 I cut all the bad stuff out my diet and bought a 2nd hand Health walker (the terrible thing from the TV adds in the 90's) for R100. Lost 3kg that month

Month 7 lost nothing and got irritated again.

Month 8-11 started excising like this article says http://www.insanity-mind.com/20-minutes-cardio-solution/ not doing the weights, 4-5 times a week doing the 20min cardio exercise. lost roughly 1kg per month but was adding in extra runs on weekends etc.

Month 12 lost nothing got irritated and bought some dumbbells (they are pricey).

Month 13 -today lost the other 3kgs but I am doing 1.5 - 2 hours of exercise 5-6 times a week and still have about 1cm of fat around my stomach but its slowly disappearing.

I tried the protein shakes they did nothing for me and just skipping them gave me better results. I never put one foot into a gym hate the smell, traffic to get there and weird diseases you get in gyms.

I wish I had started exercising with that 20min thing from the beginning and I'm sure there are many ways to lose weight but this is the way I did it.

That insanity program actually looks good, my SO is currently using it..

I'm just so unfit at the moment so I'm taking 2 weeks to get some basic fitness in place then will pick it up and run with it.

Thanks. One of my problems is over eating.
