The 2019 Weight Loss Thread

So after the midweek stagnation I got some advice that it would probably be good for me to have a cheat meal or 2.

In a discussion around "cheat" meals a friend of mine was saying that we should refer to this a 'treating' - Your treat meal at the weekend is a little reward to yourself for making healthy diet choices during the rest of the week. The other piece of advice is that it is important the next meal after a treat meal should be healthy.

Generally, I don't have scheduled treats/cheats, I usually save them for when life happens such as if we go to eat at friends or business events (where carby, deep-fried brown food like samosas and breadcrumb chicken strips seem to be obligatory.)

Also, well done on your progress so far @Arzy. You're obviously on the right track.

Thanks, chuffed at the progress so far but still have a way to go.

I was a bit shocked to learn that to get my BMI into the normal range from this point I need to lose another 10kg's. I seriously just can't see myself doing that though, just seems like way too much.

Viewing unhealthy food as treats is a problem. It's not a good relationship with food.

That being said this weekend was a disaster. The catering at round the island just Das not conducive to low carb.

Shall assess the damage tomorrow.

After a truck load of sushi and a day spent drinking watching bands yesterday, I'm up this week. @Sugarman weigh in 84.8

Starting IF from 7pm this evening, going to try to be stricter and stick to only water (leave out the coffee and lemon juice) during fasting periods. Also need to actually get off my butt and start walking again in the evenings....

111.2, this despite having had about a bottle of brandy, braai, KFC and a big English breakfast and constantly snacking at a bachelors party this past weekend.

121.6kg (1.6 increase)

Up this week. Several social events on the weekend where I ate and drank all the things.

Back on the wagon today.

99KG :( damn this is going slower than expected.
On the upside, I'm squatting personal bests and benching as well, plus I can run for 4minutes without dying.

Changed up my gym work out, going with Stronglifts now, so having a bit of a "break" as the weight catches back up to where it was.
