I am starting to doubt the idea that alcohol contains alot of calories... This week I consumed ALOT of alcohol. Wednesday evening, I had about 3/4 of a bottle of Brandy, 2 Castle lites and 5 Budweisers.100.4kg this morning. I'm really surprised as I was expecting a gain after the long weekend of consuming lots of food including deserts and beer.

Friday I did about 1/2 a bottle of brandy, 1 Castle lite and 4 Budweisers and Saturday I had about a bottle of brandy... Couple that with 2 Braais on Saturday and I still managed to lose 1.7Kgs... Maybe the alcohol is dissolving the fat and is aiding my weightloss? lol

I do gin with sugar free tonicFrom what I can see brandy does nothing for weight gain... it depends what you mix it with. Lotsa sugary drinks like Coke will be terrible. Mix it with Coke zero or TAB and you should be able to drink to your liver's content.

I drink it with Sprite Zero, but 30 shots in a bottle, if you do 10 doubles that equals 1440 calories... That is alot, considering my daily calorie intake is about 1300...From what I can see brandy does nothing for weight gain... it depends what you mix it with.
