Online stores like wootware and landmark will have the best prices. Wootware had a special on the powercolour for R3799 but I see they are up to R4199.

If you are in Cape Town I have a R9 280x which I am thinking about downgrading to the likes of a GTX760 if you are interested.

You should check carbonite bro. Phoenix-tech is selling them for 3.8 - 4.2k which is a crazy price in SA.

But, the 280x prices sky rocketed in the US, so not sure if they still have the 300$ import (280x cards are sitting at above 400$ in the US atm, up from 300$).

However, if you don't own the new Batman, AC4, or SP Blacklist the gtx 770 is your best bang for the buck. Be sure to get the one from gigabyte, they are amazing.

Oh just saw that you have a 760, the 280x will definitely give better performance, but not worth the money if you are gaming at 1080p. Also that psu...

Then wait for a non ref r9 290 to come out. Should be early next year. About half the price of the 780ti, and maybe 5-10% less performance. CPU you have is fine for gaming.

you did not list your monitor you playing on :p

for 1440p a 2gb card is to little.

even at 1920x1200 my gtx 680 , it was maxing out its memory , that was just a test normally play on my sexy dell 29 inch at 2560x1080 :p

ya that is a lot of pixels... Perhaps even two 290x or 780Ti if you want everything maxxed.

Erm the 290 doesn't come anywhere close to the 780 Ti. You talking about the 290x?

Have you tried it with the 760? My friend plays it with 2x560ti's and he maxes it out.

GTX 770 Runs it at Ultra, 4x MSAA, 1920x1080 and I get a constant 60 fps, sometimes it will drop to around 50 fps, but that is it. (Personal Experience)
