The Corsa problem solver

Another one!

And the next one.

Aw shame. You don't like Opel. I don't like VW but I don't carry on about it like a broken record.

o_O:rolleyes:

Be my guest and load your own "VW Problem solver" thread, then you can rant in there and keep out of this thread if you don't like it. By the way, I have nothing against Opel as such, but having so many problem posts referenced in one thread can be a helpline for others with the same problems.

Man my Corsa was a good little car.
Back when we just got married we fit everything in that little car and went on holiday.

May as well jump in here.

I drive a 2020 Corsa D with ~7500km - bought new.

On Thursday I noticed a distinct and not so subtle CRRRR GADOINGKKKKKKK noise from the front left when going over a speed bump at roughly 25km/h. Initially I thought it was a top shock mounting but that's more of a GODONGDOGONG.

Took it to Opel to have it checked out but the workshop had closed already and I initially couldn't replicate the noise. Tried compressing the shocks on both sides of the car through a liberal application of my 65KGs, all to no avail, the shocks do as they're supposed to.

Then I got smart and pulled up from the wheel arch. Lo and behold, a godoingkkk.

Told Opel to come fetch it Friday morning and fix. Turns out the suspension etc is all fine. The actual shock itself seems to be damaged internally in some way - likely a factory defect. They returned the car midday Friday and have ordered a replacement Gabriel shock (standard part) and will collect, fit and deliver once they receive it - likely Wednesday.

Still not the end of the thread.
