The Ethereum Thread

I know different exchanges have different prices ... But can they be THAT different?

My eTH from is still down 8% from me putting in Thursday morning on Luno ... I thought it climbed slowly everywhere the past 2 days?

Are you comparing the price you paid for ether on luno with current luno price or are you comparing the ZAR price you paid for ether on luno vs the USD ether global market price ?

If the latter, that is because luno price in ZAR (converted to USD) is generally 10% higher and during extremely rallies can spike upwards of 20%+ higher than the USD global ether market price. If this is the case it would explain why you are still seeing a 8% loss since you might have bought at the ripoff 20%+ range during the rally.

Other than that, Ether fiat price dropped slowly since Thursday actually on global market so 8% loss since Thursday is not far off, global price is roughly fiat wise at the same price as Thursday so no gain. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethereum/historical-data/

Diversified my portfolio a bit. Still own ETH but moved it out of Luno into mew. Used some of the ether to buy a decent number of REQ (built on top of ethereum) on Binance. Paid their stupid flat fee of 30 REQ to get the tokens into mew and now I am planning to do the hodl of the century. See you guys on the other side

Ok makes sense.

Thank you!

So I've sent eth from Luno to Binance, still says processing on Luno's side. Hope it clears soon.
