this new offside rule is aload of BS

if someone is offside it should be offside

i hate this new rule

interferring with play counts for nothing most of the time

I still don't get it. They guy he passed it to scored the goal. How is he not interfering?
 
i dunno hey hj to me they should have kept the old rule

look at the swiss game when the ball was passed to the goal scorer he was not offside but the other guy was

interfering with play!!!!!!!!! why they changed this rule i dont know

Nothing wrong with the rule, his not involved in active play so why should he be counted as offside.

The german goal was not offside the last pass was legal.

What?

So when the ball was played he was not interfering, only when he touched the ball to score? Is that really what the new rule says?

I thought as soon as the player who was interfering touches the ball, if he was offside when the ball was played, that he is still offside?
 
no im talking about the goal from yesterday

supa when a guy is being marked by defenders and very close to the goal scorer he is pulling defenders away from the eventual goal scorer thus interferring with play
 
I am talking about today....the final pass...went forward....there were not two players in between the passer and the goal....So offside.....??
 
no not offside and its been like that for years since the introduction of the offside rule.

When you start watching football??
A player who runs from an onside position into an offside position after the ball was touched or played by a team-mate is not offside.

But that is not possible if BOTH players are passed the keeper already. They are BOTH offside if the ball is passed forward....

There have to be TWO players between the passer and the goal, not ONE...
 
Did you just see that highlight of the Gomez miss? That was offside as well for the same reason.

hj i just saw the goal, tight decision in the end but the ball when passed did go forward

i was watching the GP only got to see it on the highlights now

poland come still come back thats for sure

But if you are passed the last defender and the ball goes forward then there is only ONE player between you and the goal so if the ball goes forward, the other player is offside...
 
no go read up on the rule, the fact he came from on a onside position to a offside position after his player played the ball means his onside.

Also the bbc team (which includes Shearer and lineker)havnt even commented on it, sabc have no clue.

But he didnt come from an onside position. Both players were passed the last defender!

If you are both passed the last defender then you are BOTH in an offside position, so the 2nd guy is coming form an OFFSIDE position to collect a ball passed forward to him from another guy ahead of the last defender. It's not rocket science.
