As usual when it really matters the Dutch can't handle the pressure.

Now to see if spain continues their normal tournament form of doing the same as the dutch. I hope so.:)

guys do you think last night was a flash in the pan for russia?

they tore sweden apart and if they had finished better could have beaten sweden 5-0

russia can win this comp

someone said that one man does not make a team, but russia's first 2 games showed that without their star they where not so good, since he has come back against the sweden and holland they have a looked a different team

so maybe one man does not make a team but that one man can sure help them play some great footie

russia though need to sort that dead ball defending out, wow

I'd put my money on them but all the teams I have backed so far have been knocked out :o

Poland....Portugal....Holland....:(
 
Holland choked exactly like Croatia did yesterday. Credit to Russia they played great attacking football

france was like playing a greek a team, italy where shocking and romania where just as bad, granted italy will not play anything like they did in the group stages tnite

last night holland actually played a good team and where outplayed in every aspect of the game

I dunno. Tactically their coach got it wrong. No Robben or Van Persie starting. Robben didn't even get on the pitch. Like Croatia they got to the Qfinals and abandoned their attacking game IMO. Holland were slow and cautious from the outset.

They are showing their history is passing on through generation to generation. It is not necessarily the team that is showing the best talent that will win, but the one that keeps composure and handles well under pressure. Holland were maybe too self confident after their group matches...? Croatia had a lucky game when beating the Germans :p
 
yea alan i hear you, holland came out and look defensive which was wrong, but when a team attacks you for 90 minutes its not easy to play well

as far as i know robben has a groin strain, dont think he would have lasted long and van persie im afraid is so off form, he did nothing the whole second half

i was upset when van equalized and i was so happy when russia came back and scored, because holland never played soccer last night

for a team who looked so attacking in the 3 previous games, im not sure why they where scared of russia

the only thing holland could do was almost score from every free kick :p
 
Russia has the largest population out of the teams in the Euros right?

If they get their academys right, and strengthen their local league they may be one of the dominant nations of the future.. larger population=lots of untapped potential talent

Arshavin is 1 example
 
yip and im also a big fan pavlyachenko (spelling)

i hope 2 see those 2 russian okes in the prem league soon

really talent players, also that kolodin (spelling) great defender
