UEFA officials could be forced into an emergency meeting should Turkey's injury crisis deepen ahead of their Euro 2008 semi-final against Germany on Wednesday. Coach Fatih Terim had only 15 available outfield players for their dramatic victory over Croatia, three of whom will be banned for the clash in Basel after picking up their second yellow cards of the tournament.

UEFA mull Turkey crisis. :eek:
 
Once the first game is played in the tournament, a country is not allowed to change or call up any new players to the squad. Difficult situation to be in for Turkey with only 12 players available. UEFA won't change the rules but if they show up with only 8 players, then they probably have no choice! :)

Does the rule say that they have to have 11 players at least? Or what does the rule say?

i thought the yellow cards where removed after the quarters, so ppl would not get banned for final?

from all accounts tonight's game will be shown on sabc3-but have a back-up plan cause these tv-programs can be quite facked.

I have a question. Why did Uefa **** up the draw for this tournament?
Normally if you have 4 groups A-D, and you take 2 teams from each group into quarters it works as follows:
Winner A vs 2nd B; Winner B vs 2nd A; Winner C vs 2nd D etc...
So far so good for Euro '08.

BUT when going to Semi finals you should go to the opposite side of the draw. Thus the winners of the AB quarters should be playing the CD winners, not each other. The way that UEFA has set up this tournament, there is the potential for teams from the same group to play each other twice before the final. That's just wrong. e.g If Spain wins tonight, they'll play Russia again in the semis.
 
the sabc site says they showing the game now.There's a section that says "showing now".They have Euro 2008 , 20:30.They idiots.
