Luckily they count a case as 6 bottles...not the standard 12.Black Friday Deal

Minimum orders of 5 Cases though.

Did a tasting @ Spice Route this morning. Strangely they will not release a 2020 Sauv Blanc. This year anyway. 2019 is still pretty awesome. And got a surprise tasting of their 2016 Malabar red blend. R950/bottleLuckily they count a case as 6 bottles...not the standard 12.
Cellars are desperately trying to get rid of their 2019 white wines, especially the S'Blancs which lose a lot of flavor quickly.
It's because at R160 a glass you only had three - while at R25 a glass you had 9. Not sure, but it's plausible...Do any of the wine experts here know why if I order a bottle of wine at a restaurant or buy one I get bad headaches, and feel just really horrible almost like i have an allergic reaction.
But if I order a REALLY expensive wine - like the other day I ordered one that was R160 a glass - it does nothing. It tasted amazing and I had no reactions?
I've been told it could be the types of chemicals, but i imagine most wines use the same base?
haha no. i'm not big into alcohol, i have 1-1.5 glasses max, and not often. It's because at R160 a glass you only had three - while at R25 a glass you had 9. Not sure, but it's plausible...
Exactly this. That would be caused by the sulphites - typically the high-end stuff has less because they are aged more than the average stuff.
The other day my wife and I finished a magnum of Tokara 2014 Reserve Cab Sav, and no ill effects whatsoever the next day. Last night I drank 2/3rd of a bottle of cheap wine, and massive hangover this morning.
Tried a 2l box of that the other day - nothing but regrets. It tasted like a damp sponge soaked in grape juice.@neoprema try a bottle of the woolies organic range. 60 bucks a bottle for the reds and "no added sulphites"
