Tasting notes?

This is one of the best white wines we've ever tasted

Good to see that some of us still prefer wooded wines, I thought that I was the only one left. I drink to the long and arduous death of all wokeist wine makers!

I generally don't like blended wines, but this wine was part of the date night special at Kanu, and it was a really pleasant surprise. Easy drinking without being flat.

Light tannin with a dark roasted wood character. Will definitely be back to get another bottle. And the date night special was also well worth the price.

Out of all those I'd buy the Waterford wines in a heartbeat. I don't think I've ever had a bottle from them that I didn't like.
I was suspicious about the huge discount given on the Andreas wines. I am not familiar with them, but it seems too good to be true for a wine that is worth it.

The price isn't always the benchmark for quality. I bought some wine from a cellar just up the road from me last year for R40 a bottle, and it really punched way above it's weight. I'd have that merlot over some other merlot's that's way more expensive purely because I loved how it tastes. I've had some expensive wines from a very well known cellar that I ended up using for cooking.

No, absolutely, but we're talking generally here - you're more likely to get plonk at a lower price point.

Any good Black Friday deals on decent wine?
Found some good Mensa and Survivor specials at Sip and Ship. Also some good deals at Perdeberg and Makro with some great Swartland Bushvine Chenin prices. Takealot with some great Marras specials too. Niel Joubert also has some good deals across the range. De Grendel also has some primo vino buy 9 get 12. Great deals at D'Aria website too. Some great value there.

Anybody else find anything worth a case or 2?

Thanks a mill
