Easy there tiger...

You need to download the latest MobileSubstrate from Cydia. MobileSubstrate is a dependacy for many apps in Cydia.

So if I were you I would just install SBSettings and you should have Skype working after a respring.

Works for me.

iPhone modem software

Hi guys - I currently use PDANet to connect my PC to the internet however, since it is not a registered version, there are certain ports which are closed - basically only port 80 works. I don't want to register it as native tethering will be coming out in OS 3.0 in June (?).
Is there an alternative tethering app that does not restrict ports BUT allows tethering via USB cable?

Roland dusnt that ippc you gave me work with the Beta 3?

the guy who wrote those three features is smoking his socks

mms has been working since the first beta, you just need the right settings in the ipcc file

and even without the ipcc, there's still a toggle in the settings->messages to enable/disable mms... i'm thinking this is what he means with the tab comment...

crucial ipcc setting for mms is the "allowMMSEditing = true" switch, and then also the various mmsc specific settings

install the os 3.0 beta, tethering already working on that

beta 3 is really quite stable

@limnos

does sbsettings work on the os3.0 beta?? I see they've released a 3.0 beta 3 jailbreak, and i REALLY miss sbsettings ;(

SB settings
Swirly MMS
Snapture
iBluetooth
iBlacklist
Cycorder
PdaNet

These apps are keeping me away from OP 3.0, but if its jailbreakable it's another story!

Checked my email b4 the forum and replied to you their first.

Basically:

No as MobileSubstrate doesn't play nicely with OS3 YET... It caused my phone to freeze and several restores after I only realised that it was the MobileSubstrate that was causing the k@k...

swirly, ibluetooth and pdanet are built in to 3.0.... lol

cycorder i barely ever used, what does snapture do?? people are afraid enough of me for me to not need iBlacklist.... lol

oh be nice and update before lunch today?? need to do someone's phone later, and would be a LOT more comfortable to know the whole iUtilities thing still works on beta3.... lol

Winterboard, now that is an app that I can't live without, oh and intelliscreen (although their new distributor "Rock your phone" sucks!)

I actually used cycoder this weekend at cokefest, got some nice videos of Snow Patrol and oasis.

i thought you had to choose between MMS or tethering?

I only use iBlacklist for SMS privacy, everytime I get home my roomies can't stop playing wurdle on my phone and I don't like people reading my SMS's before I do (Because it displays on the screen)

iBlacklist enables me to switch off the function which is nice.
