i was wonderin if any of u could help me out please

i jailbreaked my iphone 3G 3.1.2 firmware with blackra1n and nw my iphone is locked so the phone part isn't working

welcome to the forum.
If you used the newest blackra1n then when you go into the blackra1n app on your iphone it will have an unlock option. if you are unsure which blackra1n you used, just go to www.blackra1n.com and download the newest one.
 
HELP HELP HELP

Ok,
so I was updating now to 3.1.2 in iTunes so I could do a re-jb/ul. But my PC froze for 10mins and then iTunes just closed. Now when I connect my iPhone it says cant finish restore because sim is invalid(no sim- if I take it out).

What can I do? It does not let me do anything. Tried google but cant find a good phrase to search. Dunno if it is even possible to take out of recovery mode.

EDIT: Just got it right now. After 3X firmware downloads, 5 restores and 2 blackra1n's.... It is finally working

Whew - what a relief. Cool. Luckily I haven't had any funnies with any of my f/w updates etc. but I know I will one day.

Whats worse is it took me until 12 to get it right... after I posted I realized I could not use Edge, 3G or Wi-fi so another restore had to be done. Then I had to restore my cydia.
 
Quick question. What's the best price on the speck covers? Found one at gateway for R229. Can you find them cheaper?
 
Not sure if this exists anywhere in the forum - took a quick search but my terms may have been wonky...

I am experiencing incredible slowness on OS3.1 - I have a ton of 3rd party/jailbreak stuff including winterboard; active weather icons; sbsettings; 5 pages of apps... the whole toot.

I know that one or most of theses things is responsible for the slowdown, is there a 'speed me up' guide anywhere?

I know that a full restore will do the trick but maybe someone has been though the exercise and identified one main culprit?

If not - I'll try and do so by process of elimination and post back... let me know.

I think it is more of a combined problem. I think together they will all produce this problem.

Upgrade to 3GS!
 
On 3.1.2 my iPhone is still OK despite having a lot of stuff installed. I don't have any active weather icons though. Something may be using your memory, check SBSettings.

This is great as it is Pwnage tool for windows which means you can customize your own firmware and NEVER update your Baseband! :D

Weathericon.

Just removing that one package has made a big difference.

My main quibble was returning to the home screen would have several seconds delay as of late. The time is halved by removing Weathericon.
 
I have an iPhone 3G..

Non-JB

The last 3 or 4 days.. at random times while using the phone or sending sms I keep getting a pop-up message saying ''Cellulare Data Network could not be activated''

What is that about?

Nothing has changed.. all my setting are the same..

sound like the phone is unable to locate either gsm or umts. If you using sbsettings make sure gsm/edge is always on.. with the option to enable 3G reception permitting...
 
Hi all.

having a problem... My laptop somehow cooked itself (it was 3 weeks old, but thats another forum)
I just got it back and weant to load all my music , apps, contacts etc from my phone back to itunes, but i cant seem to find a way to do it.

Am i being stupid?

PLease help a fool... anyone.

ifix ipods

Just a warning to anyone who wants to use ifix ipods, if you'd like to be ignored after you've delivered your ipod to them, be bull****ted as to how long they'll take to fix your unit, then by all means use them.
Seriously, the worst service I've ever recieved and my unit was returned with an accompanying sms telling me my unit was 'unrepairable'. It took three months to get a response from them, this after the owner of the company told me it would take 5 days to fix.
Steer clear if you don't want to be dissapointed.
