HEY, stop being so racist!!!3GS and 3G should be the same no? do you have a white? that's probably not as good.
Can I Jailbreak 4.0.1 with RedSn0w ?
Finally managed to get the phone to sync and update. Things are looking up. Was just wondering if I can jailbreak the 4.0.1 software to unlock a few more features.

At last!! So....is the phone's reception better now?
*Don't think there is a jailbreak for iOS 4.0.1 yet....if you're lucky 4.0 might work, but don't quote me on that.

No black 16Gb 3GS, do a GOOGLE for "3GS death rattle" or "3GS build quality" and it seems quiet common.
The issues I have are "death rattle" (loose volume control button, and right hand side of screen, the chrome bevel is raised (or glass sunk) by 1mm, just enough to catch you finger nail when sliding off the screen. Other than those issues, it's a great phone. Not going to worry about swopping it out as it adds character![]()

Since restoring my iphone to factory default settings and upgrading to OS4 on my 3GS, my airtime is getting chewed. My email is not on. Anyone know what else could be chewing my airtime?
I know people are going to flame me for asking this, but why is it so hard for someone to design some sort of work around for getting BBM on iPhone? I get it that iPhone's don't have PINs and won't be recognized by the BIS and BES servers, but I can think of a WORK AROUND (i.e. not necessarily a BBM client for iPhone!) which I would imagine would be able to get around any app store restrictions.
Surely an app could be designed for BlackBerry that copies all messages received in BBM and forwards them to an iPhone using another app supported by both (e.g. WhatsApp). The iPhone than replies to the BlackBerry and the BlackBerry passes the message back on to the BBM contact.
I know this is tedious and would require one to own two phones, but the advantage is all you'd have to do is make sure your BlackBerry is left plugged in charging somewhere and has a BIS service. Then you'd just go about your life, effectively with 'BBM' on the iPhone.
Someone design it like this. Now. NOW. It's the only thing I miss about a BlackBerry.
