I would prefer the permanent removal of the offending members. It is a small minority ruining it for the rest of us.

Isnt a bit girly to report someone for debating or sharing a different view?:confused:

It might seem childish but things were getting out of hand. There is no point in even posting here if everything said is going to be met with an insult, which is against the rules of the forum anyway.

Seems to make sense to me...And the rest of the internet forums out there, which also have the same rules.

Well i dont agree with insults.

I have been on internet forums for more than a decade. I hope it goes both ways tho. Both parties should get a ban or warning not just certain users.

Perfect case would be Catch 31, did he get a warning?

You'd have to ask him that. Warnings are not really in the public domain. If the post was reported and was considered to be an insult, then yes, I am sure it did result in an infraction being issued.

You must forgive me if I suspect you of being one of the aforementioned trouble-makers using a different nick...but things have been getting really ugly over the last few weeks :(

This used to be a fun place to come and air views...

No I agree that it has been one sided, good example is catch someone will start a thread and the first thing he will do is put a insult in it.

Good example is the chelsea thread where the first post was to call the op a troll.

I still think that reporting is a bit girly. We are all adults here (i hope). This is what foruming is about. Debates, views, opinions, this is what a forum is based on.

If we all suppose to stick to groups it really defeats the purpose of having a forum.

Well i am happy to an extent. But i do believe that if you are a di*k and act like one, you deserved to be reffered to as one.

I guess it depends on the insult and the context of the debate. If the user is a trouble maker and only insults other users, then he should get a warning or a ban.

Ya, well if someone was acting like dumbass, i would expect my fellow forumites to call him a dumbass. We are not in primary school :)
