h iguys i got an email from smartcom saying that the iphone is launching at midnight in south africa and that they will confirm pricing structures on friday as soon as they receive the go ahead from vodacom.

I have just phoned the Vodashop in Secunda, and would you believe that the woman had never heard of the iPhone, and thought I was making things up. I had to tell HER when the thing is supposed to be launched. I mean, shouldn’t the car salesman at least have a drivers licence?

Lol. ur not the first person to complain obout their knowledge of phones. I went for iphone training on friday (which wasnt really needed). Its gonna be launched on friday. Can say anything more.
 
Vodashop Vodaworld are still saying the iPhone will only be available to the public next week?
 
they have to this week! they have lost alot of customers already. But do u think they even care?
 
I just got a phone call from the Vodashop in the V&A Waterfront & they said I can come and pick up my black iPhone 16GB Friday morning. Let's hope the price won't give me a heart attack in the shop. :)

seriously wtf is there so much secrecy from Vodacom regarding the price. For heavens sake.... it's the same concept of signing for something without even checking if you can afford it. I mean come on! All I've been wanting to know over the past few months is just a bloody price along with the contract price.....but noooooooo. It's a *secret*. Ugh!!!
 
The reason they are keeping it secret is because the price is going to be crazy. They would rather let you come in and then give you the price, alot of ppl will feel pressured and then take it instead of saying GFU.

It's an old sales trick...

Can't wait to see all the threads popping up on Friday with ppl moaning about the price...

Think MyBB might have a problem maintaining all the posts on that day :-)
