The Shroom Thread

I have just ordered a King Oyster grow kit. R285. I love these mushrooms. So pungent when frying!
King oysters are da bomb! I fry them with a little bit of olive oil, butter, thyme, garlic, and a touch of salt and pepper.

I plan on growing lion's mane soon. I just need to clear my spare room and get some supplies organized.

i have been using mushrooms for over a decade , I cannot bare the taste anymore . luckily the wafers mask it 100% for me

Pf-tek...everything is available locally. That's how I did my first grow. But really... 95% of grow methods you'll find the supplies locally.
Checked out myshrooms...

They have a kit that comes with a fruiting chamber. Id like to give this a try for not only psychadelics but also edibles and medicinals.

Jissie, had a lekker 2.5g Penis Envy trip last night. Potent for me at 120kg, and probably the strongest I’ve had, rivalling LSD 12 years ago from what I remember, auditorily & visually.

Was mostly in a pitch black room, lying down in total silence. The melodic frequencies & resonances I heard – in the silence – were fascinatingly inspiring, and led me down the rabbit hole of energy, vibration, frequencies, and life.

I also had intense ‘reptilian’ visuals and feelings, which also intrigued me…

Does my experience resonate with anyone else?

I got this a lot but to me it is more worm like, no faces.

Are the Costa & Puerto Ricans going around any decent? Cheapest available. Seen them on the sites too, so I imagine they’re commercially grown?

Or is it best to go for better and consume less? Perhaps higher price vs lower quantity breaks even?

Was this fresh or dried?

Bump.

Cubensis varieties are all the same type of effect.

Price does not equate to quality.

The mushrooms that are expensive are probably the same ones being sold cheaply so rather go for dosages that are the same weight.

Agree with the same type of effect, but not with the rest, in my recent experiences, and at face value of your post.

I’m sure the same shrooms are sold by some dealers under different varieties and prices, in order to appeal to more types of buyers – and especially to take advantage of those willing to pay more under the impression of strength. Human/business nature.

But I trust my dealer. In my case, the Costas and Puertos are the same price as online, with other varieties costing two to three times as much…

The ‘expensive’ ones I’ve bought before are definitely different to the cheap ones, with proof posted here.

At the end of the day, I believe cultivation quality is important and tends to mean as much as variety/strains, and ‘names’ (the cannabis industry is ridiculous with its names which delude ignorant consumers).

I also believe that stronger varieties grown poorly could outperform weaker ones grown better.

I’m happy to pay more for strong varieties grown well, which is the impression I get based on differing pricing.

Will PM more details.

Did you mean different species, not the same strain grown in different conditions?
If it's different species you can't really compare, a cubensis is one kind of trip, pan cyans for instance is a way more intense trip for me at half a dose of that of cubensis.
As for growing conditions/different substrates it only affects yield not potency in my opinion.
I will only ever pay "expensive" for something that is really hard to grow or rare like liberty caps, cubensis varieties on the other hand should not be more than R50, R150 is a rip off.

Please see PM. Welcome to respond here. :)
