Don't be ployed into the marketing gimmick **** those people do... Penis Envy is purely just an abnormal mutation with the mushroom but at the end of the day its still - (Psilocybe cubensis).

Considering it belongs to that genera, I'm going to have to say. Duh. But I'm sure you're going to come with some magical essence and tell me how this mushroom on a genetic level does not appear under the same phylogenetic group as said species.

We know that Penis Envy is far more potent than Golden Teachers et al, despite both being Psilocybe cubensis. Therefore what you said is misleading in respect of potency, and more so in how one should not be "ployed by marketing gimmicks". If one is searching for strong shrooms, one should absolutely be ployed by the name Penis Envy over Golden Teachers.

I also thought it was interesting that, despite being active in this The Shroom Thread in the past and understanding the benefits of them, you berate others for use of shrooms.

Hey cap, you said penis envy is way stronger that GT. If I had a good trip on 3g of GT, what would PE measurement be?

Our beaches in durban are closed due to dangerous e-coli levels so it's a bit hard these days to be positive.

I’m no expert but I would say it’s difficult to say as potency can vary greatly based on genetics, how they were grown, and how they’ve been stored. GT and most cubes all look alike, so one could be getting something completely different to ‘GT’ where the name was merely used because it’s well known. Proper PE and APE are usually better in this respect as they are visually different – girthy stalks or white and girthy. But then I’ve seen ‘PE’ that look like normal cubes too. I suppose one can only know for sure if they can trust the source.

Anyway, on paper and if all things are even, PE are around 1/3 more potent than GT, so you could probably get similar effects to 3g of GT with 2g of PE.

I like to gauge potency by taking a 1.5g dose of new varieties at first, as the 2g ‘rule of thumb’ dose can catch one off guard with potent mushrooms. I recently had 1.5g of Tidal Wave which turned out far more potent than I had expected, and I ended up having to unexpectedly deal with clients, which was rather interesting.

Yes, I know there are cyanescens (amongst many others) growing in Cpt, they grow in Jhb as well if you know where to look.
