So what's up with the Rand today. I see it went below R12.20. I thought it would retrace a bit or hold today given the big drop from R12.70 to R12.30 yesterday.

1 United States Dollar equals
12,96 South African Rand

Going back to Zuma days and with Brent Crude being stubbornly high, expect a further fuel increase next month.

I can't help feeling we are headed for another technical recession after the last quarter's negative 2.2% drop

My trading account is standing strong. Way better than I ever thought it would. Now.... just for R15, R18 then R20 to the Dollar..... After that it will be a free-fall.

This last month has put in a really bad trend. Hope it doesn't head to over 15 by August.

"The latest round of trade tariff retaliations between the US and China is dragging down emerging markets as investors return to the safety of the USD for now.

Everyone has become disillusioned with Ramaphoria. Talk of land seizure is surely not helping.

Something seems to have temporarily spooked the ZAR this morning but I reckon it'll return to <13.5 soon enough
